Use of the limitation
The limitation, “Staying Warm,” is incorporated through the campfire survival mechanic. The player must collect wood by chopping trees and use the campfire as a safe place to recover. Managing wood, health, and trips through the forest is central to survival.

I scored 13,016, super fast paced, easy controls, great loop- well done!

Simple but cool game :)

I really enjoyed the fast-paced aspect of the game. It would be nice if there were some indication of the current wood required to fuel the fire. My score was also slightly off the screen in fullscreen mode on the browser. Overall great job!

Cute game you got there, hope I got a somewhat passable score 😅

This game could have really used some sound though, both to keep me in the flow state & complement the nice juicy feel that you got by letting the trees tremble before they break!

Developer

Thanks for the suggestion! I just added some sounds to the game. I'll try to improve the HUD next. You got a good score btw, thanks for playing :)

Simple and fun. I suggest adding some feedback when collecting wood; sometimes the wood wouldn't appear after felling a tree—likely because it was spawning inside the player's collision zone (I assume). After a while, I noticed the information was actually appearing on the HUD, but it was very small.

Developer

Thanks for playing and for the feedback! I'm still learning Godot, so I'll work on making the wood collection more noticeable and improving the HUD.

takes long time to load but for the game perfect you may need work for optimization

Thanks! I actually optimized it, but I forgot to remove some unused assets lol. Still learning, appreciate the feedback!

Maybe I'm biased since we have similar ideas but I like it!
