Software used
Godot + paint.net

Use of the limitation
You have to manage a non-controllable fire sprite that must stay warm, it can be damaged in many ways, but you can't let it go out. You must take it through the world to light many braziers, warming the environment, solving puzzles on the way.

Unfortunatley none, on a diet right now :(

I LOVE the idea of controlling the elements to solve puzzles and move through the world like this! The interactions between the elements was fun to figure out! i could see this getting worked on further and expanded for sure! Great stuff!

Thanks for the kind words!

couldn't load on firefox :(

Developer

It does take a while to run, but should do after a minute at the latest as I'm also running firefox. If it actually doesn't though, I've also provided an exe that loads instantly. Been trying to figure out why the long loads for 5 hours to no avail lol

Not quite sure how to play, but at least I managed to light the first torch!

Developer

Nice lol, I've added a small tutorial after feedback, probably should've from the start ah well

I love the particles and some of the col puzzle mechanics based on the elements tho idk why when i press q on the stone the game freezes

Developer

Cheers, thats a known bug. Been trying to solve it for a few hours at this point, changed how it does what it does multiple times, and rewrote the code multiple times. Still there though it freezes for slightly less now which I'm counting as a win lol.

Cool concept! it was definitely a bit puzzling for me though, took me a second to get it😅
A little controls/hand holding tutorial at the beginning or on screen input prompting could go a long way in keeping people playing

Awesome job for a first jam and in Godot!

Cheers lol, that's totally fair, got so used to the puzzles from testing I forgot how new players would find them😅

What an interesting concept, especially for your first time on godot. I am very stupid so it took me a little to figure it out, but got there eventually.

Developer

Thank you! And it's not you, I may have gone a bit over the top for the very first puzzles, I have since added a small tutorial to at least give a helping hand lol

Developer

Wow! your first Godot game! This is really cool!

The puzzles were puzzling and fun to solve. One thing I didn’t quite get is how the electric doors and pulleys stay open sometimes without power.

I like that the fire is scared of the water and just bounces away :D

Developer

Thanks! The toggle-able doors/elevators were a last minute addition, totally forgot to add an indicator to differentiate them from the standard ones😅

Edit: Amazing puzzles! Game works great downloaded now!  :)

I've now provided a downloadable windows version which really reduces the lag, cheers for letting me know!
