Spanish-speaking testers wanted: a short browser mystery — are the puzzles and ending clear?

Hi! I am testing El piso que no existe, a free Spanish-language point-and-click mystery. You arrive at a twelve-floor building with a parcel addressed to floor 13. The demo has three illustrated locations, an inventory, connected puzzles and two endings.

Play in your browser, no download required:

https://jahuin.itch.io/el-piso-que-no-existe

I am looking for 3–5 Spanish-speaking players to help me check:

• Is it clear how to select and use inventory items?

• Where did you get stuck or lose interest?

• Did the ending make it clear that the story was complete and explain the result of your decision?

If you stop before finishing, please tell me where and why. You can use the optional hints; it would help to know which ones you needed. I would also like to know whether you would want to play another case.

Gracias.

Hi!

I liked the visuals. I'm Spanish and I live in Spain, so—since you were looking for someone who speaks and understands Spanish—what I focused on most was whether the texts were well-written and easy to understand. I have to say it's a very good translation, and the instructions and texts are easy to understand.

Maybe I went too fast—I'm used to playing puzzle games, and the instructions for solving them are simple but effective. I didn't need any hints.
I finished at the top and gave the cards to Inés—it all makes sense :)

The only thing I can say is that even though I was playing on a 32-inch 1920x1080 monitor, the game was visible on the screen with the scenes right below it, but the inventory was NOT visible. I realized this too late; once I started scrolling, I could see it... :)

Great job!
And thanks for translating it into Spanish—I really appreciate it :)

I’d certainly play other similar games, but I must also admit the following:

1) It feels short – incredibly short. I can think of several ways to link together even short stories, but if that’s all there is to it, it’s far too short. ‘Finishing’ a game like this in just 15 minutes doesn’t appeal to me unless it’s justified by ideas that can actually be put into practice.

2) Perhaps it’s because I’ve played too many point-and-click games, graphic adventures, puzzle games, etc., but whilst the mini-puzzles are GREAT for the general public, for others they might be a bit too easy. That said, I do have some ideas on how to improve this, of course – whether by including more complex puzzles, offering greater variety, or, if they are indeed very complex, making use of what you’ve already implemented: clues.

3) I also use generative AI for my projects, such as assets and so on, and in your case I really like what you’ve achieved visually :) Visually, I liked it, but I don’t know why – when I played the game – it didn’t seem to have any sound, and I only realised right at the very end when I’d finished the game, haha. It was muted – not by me – so I can’t really comment much on that aspect :D

As I’m not sure whether it’s possible to speak only in Spanish, I’ve decided to write it in both languages :)
