Hi! We are a small indie game development team working on a 3D low-poly dark fantasy game in Godot.

We currently have 6 members:

  • 3 programmers
  • 1 character 3D artist
  • 1 character concept artist
  • 1 level designer

We are looking for 9 more members to complete our team.

What we are looking for

2x 3D Environment Artists

  • Create villages, forests, castles, ruins, dungeons and other environments.
  • Work with the level designer to turn the level layouts into finished environments.

2x 3D Animators

  • Animate the player, NPCs and enemies.
  • Create walking, running, idle, attack, damage and death animations.
  • Help with boss animations and combat animations.

1x 3D Props Artist

  • Create objects that fill the world.
  • Furniture, barrels, crates, chests, rocks, plants, torches, decorations and other props.
  • Create reusable low-poly assets.

1x Texture / Material Artist

  • Create textures and materials for characters, environments and props.
  • Help establish a consistent visual style across the game.
  • Work with the 3D artists to make the models look finished.

1x VFX Artist

  • Create visual effects for combat, magic and the environment.
  • Sword effects, impacts, particles, fire, smoke, magic and other effects.
  • Help create special effects for the Sun fragments and important story moments.

1x UI / 2D Artist

  • Create the game's menus and interface.
  • Health bar, inventory, buttons, settings, icons and other UI elements.
  • Help maintain the game's visual identity.

1x Audio / Music Artist

  • Create or provide music for the different areas and important moments.
  • Sound effects for combat, enemies, footsteps, environment, UI and interactions.
  • Help create the atmosphere of the game.

About the project

The game takes place in a world where the Sun was divided into seven fragments, leaving the world in eternal darkness.

The player is a knight who wakes up without his memories and begins a journey to discover his past and restore the light.

Our first goal is to create one complete and polished kingdom as a Steam demo. The full game will eventually contain seven kingdoms.

The project is planned to take approximately 10 months.

Important

This is a volunteer project, so there is no upfront payment. We are looking for people who are genuinely interested in the project and willing to work with the team throughout development.

You don't need to be a professional. Beginners are welcome, but having previous work or a portfolio is preferred.

Engine: Godot
Style: Stylized 3D low-poly dark fantasy
Current team: 6 members
Looking for: 9 more members
Development: Approximately 10 months
Goal: Polished Steam demo

If you're interested, comment below or send me a message with the role you're interested in and examples of your work.

Hi there lukabr3791! The story sounds captivating. I would be interested in supporting your project as an audio/music artist. Based on your description, I can already picture the variety of landscapes and therefore musical themes that could complement each sub-story (per fragment). Curious to hear what your vision is!

Herewith recent work that most closely captures my approach to thematic soundtrack composition: https://soundcloud.com/the-0-wave/sets/soundtrack-sessions-vol-i

In addition, some earlier work that is unfinished yet helps further demonstrate my approach.

I like to combine real instruments (e.g., orchestral libraries + electric/bass guitar + drum libraries) as well as any electronic selections (e.g., synthesizers, sound libraries, sample design, etc.).

Let me know your thoughts and if you have any questions.

Hello! The dark fantasy + low poly is a perfect combo, If you need an electronic music artist to help you bring that into an evolving and atmospheric ambient, I can help out with nailing it in. One way or another, I wish you luck on your project
