Amazing art style, storytelling, and overall polish. Struck the right balance of coziness and quiet melancholy.

Immaculate art direction, environment design, and music!
I unfortunately think I broke sequencing (I placed mug on the table, walked outside, came back in and it was gone :( )

Wow, I'm blown away by how polished this game is! Amazing job with everything. I especially enjoyed listening to the audio in the game.

Beautiful story! It felt like a Ghibli story, like a hug to the soul :)

AAAA This was so good!!! It really hit the spot!! The writing was really really good, i didn't expect to get so emotional! While I was playing I was theorizing in my head what the old man was experiencing, I geniunely thought he had dementia and was forgetting things he already did, so it wasnt shown to the player kinda thing, but what you've implemented is so sweet in such a bittersweet way!! I had a lot of fun playing. def one of my favs

I absolutely adore the aesthetics of this game! The story is amazing and is brilliantly executed wirthin the jam's limitation.  Overall, an absolutely heartfelt experience!

An old man decided to chop down a tree, and then the gnomes came for him and... they became friends, yo.

After this game I once again got the urge to eat chestnuts, go live in the forest, and meet my little bro with whom we'd hold political debates.

Overall the game's super cozy vibes-wise, visually I'm absolutely dripping over it.
Sadly, while playing I hit a softlock — the game asked for logs for a stump, and I'd run out of them xdd, so I had to chop down the whole forest and got the bad ending, unlucky.

Great game, I got my vibes restored, and from this day on I'm out here in the forests of northern Tanzania!!!!!

The art in this was pretty amazing! The story was entertaining, and I really liked how the theme was incorporated into it. It was nice to see the change being used for something positive rather than something malicious. The whole game felt extremely cozy, and the choice of music and gentle sound effects really added to that feeling. There was a good amount of polish here too, and everything came together really nicely. Great job on this!

The game looks stunning! The audio is nice and cozy as well (although I can share a few FMOD tips).

But I got super screen-sick because of the odd camera shake. Please turn that into a setting that i can turn off!!!

I LOVE the godray particles. To whoever did them, are these just circle sprites that get smaller? I'd be interested to know.

Regarding FMOD:

1) you are supposed to attribute FMOD. Technically the game is against their TOS. See FMOD Attribution. Since you are using Unity's startup logo (which you can turn off nowadays btw!) you can just include that image in the splash array.

2) when you change to a new tab, FMOD gets stuck in a bad loop. My workaround is this method that you can put into any manager mono behaviour:

private void OnApplicationFocus(bool hasFocus)
{
    if (hasFocus) RuntimeManager.CoreSystem.mixerResume();
    else RuntimeManager.CoreSystem.mixerSuspend();
}

Super cute and slightly sad. The art style is fantastic and you utilized the limitation really well. Simple but effective gameplay to tell your story. Really great job overall
