Oh my god I was so stupid, I didn't read the instructions at first and didn't also notice the monster-like hands/claws on some of the leaves :P Happily I read that later and managed to finish :) It was a fun and enjoyable game with nice visuals and sound. Simple mechanic, in fact 3 core mechanics combined, with great effect. Nothing to complain really (apart from lack of accessibility options maybe), it was nice, short (in a good way, for a jam game, not overscoped) and well fit to theme indeed.
Aw I love this! The art is so cute! I like that you need to toggle between the flashlight and radar, it added a nice little challenge. I was confused at first why I was dying to the lily pads with the alligator, so maybe some indication there would've been nice, but once I figured it out, everything was really fun. Great job!
I like the art, it is beautiful. Had a trouble activating the flashlight, when finally toggled it, completed the game without radar. So radar is not really needed, it seems.
I thought so too, but look at the leaves - some of them have hands/claws of monsters from beneath and you cannot jump on them :P so we have to also take that into consideration apart from the signal direction... Also, RMB is a signal/flashlight toggle, and there apparently is a timer how long you can sit without moving (yeah, I think you probably know, but I am for example stupid enough to notice that after almost giving up on the game :P).
I love the artwork!
Sometimes I felt like I was going in the right direction but still ended up getting a game over.I wish I could have played through to the end.
I actually wanted to play this game more than I could! I almost immediately started feeling onset of motion sickness from the camera movement, which I was able to solve temporarily by zooming my browser out significantly to play in a small portion of the screen. I loved the concept and mechanics, though, and aside from a lack of accessibility features I think this is a really great submission! (good enough that I used my web browser's accessibility features to keep playing hahahah!)
Yep, I genuinely don't understand it; I started noticing it happen to me in games with certain types of "smoothed" jerky camera movements a few years ago and I'm not sure if it's a change in my vision, my brain, my age, or just spending way too much time on a screen developing games. A setting to turn off the camera movement tween, or to make it happen more slowly would be helpful, and perhaps it wouldn't be as big of an issue if I could run it in fullscreen? though I don't think that was the problem. Anyway great work and happy jamming!
I am not sure that I figured out what I need to do. It seemed like I had to jump towards the signal direction, but no matter where I chose to jump the game told me that I lost. Probably it's because of the known bugs that you are mentioning here on another comment. It would be appreciated by the next people that come and play it if those bugs can be found mentioned on the game's page as well.
It's definitely very pretty with the animations and all.
its completely broken unless i dont understand it, i jump in the direction of the signal waves and still get game over, sometimes when i sit on a lilipad i get "congratulations you finally got signal"
I wanted to try this but the game isn't public — i think you have to mark it public on the "Edit Game" screen!
