I played it for 3 times, 2 times it just crashed (the game froze) with error:
ERROR: Removing a CollisionObject node during a physics callback is not allowed and will cause undesired behavior. Remove with call_deferred() instead.
I'm glad I gave it a third try though, as I even manged to win :) I liked the sounds and the graphics (good decision regarding background and its movement, it showed ship velocity and movement correctly, while not being too intrusive or hard for the eye - saying it from a perspective of someone who made a space movement 2d game 2 GWJs ago), and gameplay was fun. The low fuel/health level was pretty unforgiving (on my third time I spent like 80-85% of it to find resources, as one of the colors was extremely rare), but I won in the end, so maybe that was part of the design. Nice idea and execution overall :)
That's unfortunate that I didnt catch those game breaking bugs. Thank you for the feedback, I'm glad it worked out in the end :D
I love the piu-piu-piu!
Really fun! I think the overall presentation and music is very cute, and the asteroid mining transition into defending the station was cool. My issues mirror others here I think. Controls felt awkward when moving + shooting, but individually they worked well. I had a lot of one mineral type for a while as well because of the curse of RNG. And regarding the final defence it was pretty tricky because of the initial spawns of the enemy units immediately firing as they came into the area. I had to use my body to protect it lol
Thank you for the feedback. Yeahh I am realizing it is much easier to beat the game for the developer :D
Well, I had a LOT of minerals, but didn't find the FSS again and then I died :D
It is a cute game, love the little frogs in space. Nice setting. Aiming and not getting shot at at the same time was too hard for me (hence the dying part ;) )
Thanks for the feedback :D I did put the arrow that points to the FSS, although maybe i should have made it more obvious :D
strange, I tried on another computer and the arrow was there :o
Frogs will inherit the stars. Cute visuals, similar comment about moving and aiming, made it tricky to play. Great work!
Thank you <3
The gameplay was super fun! I really enjoyed flying around and fighting with the pirates. I found defending the space station a bit too difficult, as no matter how hard I tried, I would still always get at least a few shots from almost every attacking pirate (might be a skill issue on me). Also, on one of the runs I couldn't find the asteroid with the needed crystals for a few minutes, so that felt a bit frustrating. Though, these are minor things I noticed. Great work, I had a fun time playing it!
Btw, thanks for controller support!
Thank you for the feedback :D
I have no clue how this connects to the theme but this is the funnest jam game yet! I just didn't like how the rotation had a wasd priority over mouse when you were moving. It made aiming practically impossible for fast asteroids. I also think the red people in spaceships should have dropped something.
Thanks for the feedback!
The theme is mostly connected through the story/goal of the game. And yeah I agree, it is pretty bad to aim while moving on keyboard and mouse.
I played for a little while, game is fun! I didnt finish it because I couldn't find the asteroids of the color I was missing, I'm wondering if its true random or are they different rarities.
Thank you for the feedback :D Yeah they are random, with equal chances of each material spawning, but I guess that's randomness xd
