[Hobby] [Unpaid] Looking for a 3D Environment Artist for My Unreal Engine 5 Horror Game

Hello everyone!

I'm an indie game developer working on a first-person psychological horror game called Left Unseen, and I'm looking for a 3D environment artist who might be interested in helping out with the game's abandoned railway environment.

🎮 About the Game

Left Unseen is a first-person psychological horror and exploration game. One of the environments I'm working on is an abandoned American locomotive maintenance shed. I'm aiming for a realistic, industrial, weathered atmosphere, with an eerie feeling of abandonment.

The game is being developed in Unreal Engine 5.8, and I'm using Blender for 3D modeling.

🛠️ What I Need Help With

I'm specifically looking for help with the train environment, including things like:

  • The locomotive maintenance shed and its architectural details.
  • Railway tracks and surrounding infrastructure.
  • Industrial props, equipment, and environmental clutter.
  • Weathered materials, rust, grime, and other signs of deterioration.
  • General environment modeling and making the location feel believable.

I have already started modeling parts of the building, so this isn't necessarily a project that needs to start from scratch. I'd love to find someone who could help improve what I've built and work with me to develop the environment further.

🤝 What I'm Offering

To be completely transparent, this is an unpaid hobby project. I cannot currently offer payment, so I'm looking for someone who would genuinely enjoy collaborating on an indie horror game and building their portfolio.

You would receive appropriate credit for your contributions, and we could discuss how your work would be credited and showcased.

There is no expectation that you work full-time or commit to a strict schedule. I understand that everyone has their own projects and responsibilities.

👤 Who I'm Looking For

Ideally, you'd have some experience with Blender, Unreal Engine, or 3D environment art. However, I'm open to hearing from people who are still learning, provided they're interested in the project and willing to collaborate.

I'm also still learning parts of the 3D modeling process myself, so I'm hoping to find someone who enjoys creating things and working together.

📩 Interested?

If this sounds interesting to you, please leave a comment or send me a message! I'd be happy to share more information about the game, explain what I've already built, and discuss what kind of help might be possible.

Thanks for taking the time to read this!

Here’s my Discord: johnmaxwell09136. If you’re still looking, reach out ... I have a few ideas after seeing the project that I think would be worth talking about.
