What did you revive? What was your inspiration?
Sea of Sounds is an old project—so old, in fact, that I don’t have exact dates. I know I was at least 12 years old at the time, and I was building it in RPG Maker Ace, using the pre-made textures, and the music was classical music MIDI edited to have different instruments.

How do you play your game? Is controller required?
No game yet, only music and images.

What asset packs did you use? What, if any, content is AI generated?
Nothing. Every character design, illustration, pixel-art and music was made by myself.

Don't use AI, use your childhood trauma like a good artist.

I loved reading your game's history! There's something really heartwarming about seeing someone revive a project they started when they were a kid hahahaha

My favorite track was "Pirate Theme" because I really liked its melody!

I hope you get to finish and release the game! I followed you to give you a little encouragement boost hehe

Wow! This is really good, each piece has a strong personality and I can really imagine myself playing a game to these. They were all great, but something about Hometown really feels homey and safe and would make a perfect home town theme.

Best of luck with the 2027 release :)

Wow the first song together with the pixelart threw me back to Startdew Valley and Runescape - very nostalgic! As a music producer myself,  I can relate to that "ahhh, that wasn't as good as I wanted." And yes, sometimes there are moments that are rough around the edges of a couple of the songs, but that is a part of the character of it. I think it is cool that you vary between very playful songs, some dramatic chords, and a full on "serious" sound like Water Sacntuary.

I’m always a fan of game soundtracks without games (or, without games yet, in your case). Very evocative, helps me imagine the setting. I like the Tropical Town, the Water Sanctuary, and the Pirate and Desert themes!

Hope you can continue working on this game.
