Claude Code
How I built it / process notes
Made with Claude (Anthropic). I approved a game design document written with Claude, then built the game in small batches: Claude wrote each batch's brief, I approved it, Claude Code built it locally, and I playtested every build in Firefox. The cast, props and set were drawn in code with Claude in a concept pass after the theme reveal, then approved before the build. The music and sounds were composed in code with Claude. Node bots played the nights to measure the balance, and my playtests drove the big changes: the last dash at the coop and a lamp that goes dark without oil, to stop players from camping at the door. My own base template, tuning panel and test runner existed before the jam; everything else was made during it.
How does your game use the theme?
You're on the receiving end of the trick. Tally the fox throws shimmering copies of herself across the yard, and every one looks perfect. But a copy can't touch anything: only the real Tally casts a shadow that swings with your lantern, makes the hens flinch and leaves prints in the hay. You win by learning to see through the trick, and each night Tally learns a new one (three copies, the shuffle, fake shadows, hiding in the hay), so you have to read her all over again.
