Hello everyone!

I'm currently developing STONEFALL, a 2D pixel-art survival game set in a harsh prehistoric world.

I'm looking for passionate, skilled, and committed people who want to collaborate on building a real indie game together.

This is an unpaid collaboration. I'm not looking for temporary help or people interested in joining a project only in name. My goal is to build a small, reliable team that genuinely enjoys game development and wants to make consistent progress.

About STONEFALL

STONEFALL is a prehistoric survival game focused on exploration, resource gathering, crafting, survival, and discovering a primitive world.

The visual direction emphasizes atmospheric pixel art, natural environments, and a distinct Stone Age identity.

Current stage: The project is in early development. I'm working on its creative direction, gameplay planning, and visual references. There's still room for collaborators to contribute ideas and help shape the experience.

Who We're Looking For

We're open to people from different game development disciplines, including:

  • Unity / C# Programmers — Gameplay systems, mechanics, and technical development.
  • Pixel Artists — Characters, environments, items, and game assets.
  • 2D Animators — Character, creature, and environmental animations.
  • Game Writers / Narrative Designers — Worldbuilding, lore, storytelling, and characters.
  • Game Designers — Gameplay mechanics, progression, and balancing.
  • UI/UX Designers — Inventory, crafting, menus, and interface design.
  • Sound Designers / Composers — Sound effects, atmosphere, and music.
  • Other Game Developers — If you have relevant skills, you're welcome to reach out!

What Matters Most

We're looking for commitment, communication, and genuine interest in the project.

You don't need to be a AAA industry veteran, but you should be able to demonstrate your skills through previous work, personal projects, or a portfolio.

We value teamwork, realistic commitments, constructive feedback, and steady progress.

This is a volunteer collaboration, so we understand that everyone has personal responsibilities. We're not expecting full-time availability.

Collaboration & Compensation

This is currently an unpaid, volunteer-based project. There is no salary or guaranteed future payment.

Any potential future commercial or revenue-sharing arrangements would need to be discussed and agreed upon separately.

We will also discuss contribution credits and ownership or usage rights before integrating anyone's work into the project.

Interested in Joining?

Please reply to this post or contact me through itch.io with:

  1. Your preferred role or area of expertise.
  2. Your experience and relevant skills.
  3. A portfolio, GitHub, or examples of previous work, if available.
  4. Your approximate weekly availability.
  5. A little about why STONEFALL interests you.

Our goal is not to build the biggest team. It's to build a reliable team capable of creating something we're proud of.

Thank you for reading. I look forward to connecting with fellow indie developers!

Hey, I've been composing music for 5+ years now and over the last year I've been composing music for a variety of games, but I've also been DJ'ing for 4 years now.

Most projects I've worked on are usually made for fun and are rarely released other than the Roblox games I've composed for such as FourM, Shadovis, Silhouette, and a few more I can't remember the names of.

For those unreleased projects, I post some of the music I've composed for them on SoundCloud including some music I've made for fun. (https://on.soundcloud.com/XGnEdNCRpyzarNjpwZ)

I'm mostly available after 12-3pm PST on weekdays, but rarely I might be working by 5pm.

I already have a few ideas for a survival games soundtrack. Also, I think the prehistoric style could be fun and give me few more ideas while I'm composing.

Hey, I'm interested. I'm a Unity developer
 Do you have Discord?

Hi! I'm Diego, a music producer, DJ and sound designer from San Diego, and I'd love to join STONEFALL as a sound designer/composer. Role: Sound Designers / Composers — SFX, atmosphere and music. Experience: I produce in Ableton (sound design, pads, textures, ambiences) and DJ live; my usual style is industrial and experimental electronic, which fits a harsh prehistoric world well — primal percussion, tense ambience, sparse themes. Portfolio: https://linktr.ee/vsuc. Availability: a few hours a week, evenings and weekends. Why STONEFALL: the Stone Age survival setting is exactly the kind of world where sound carries the atmosphere, and I'd enjoy helping build it from this early stage. Thanks for considering me! — Diego (Vsuc)

Hey! I am a composer/sfx artist and I am very interested, my work as been mostly through game jams but I have been a musician for around 10 years,
