How does your game interpret and use the Theme / Halloween?
The way our game interprets the 'Halloween' theme is more the ambience of fall; bright orange and yellow leaves, sun shining past the folliage, and the echos of leaves rustling around. Additionally, we added traditional 'Halloween' items, like pumpkins and creepy sounds.
They way our game interpreted the theme: "It only comes out at night" is mainly through our owl; the antagonist of the game which only comes out at night. In an attempt to feed your kids, you must go out at night, dodging the risk of dying a brutal death in your attempt for food.

I liked the idea for the game but as it is it needs more work.
The idea of looking for food for food for your kids is fine, but I got lost easily. There could be some landmarks, or stuff like rocks, so I could climb on top and look for the den. There are also some bugs. It feels like every pumpkin had a huge hitbox around it.
The presentation could use some more polish too. I'm cool with low-poly graphics, but it seem like the only sound in your game is the music. Adding some forest and... mouse sounds would add to the atmosphere.
As for the theme, you could have explored it more too. I didn't get to the owl (sorry), and the Halloween was only represented by fall colors and pumpkins.
Over all- I appreciate the ambition, but I think you overshot. For a 4 day jam it's better to cut scope and deliver more polished, short experience than a bigger one, that's overscoped.
I got lost the moment i moved out but i liked the Idea with the owl. The music fits the mood and was calming at Day time.
Fast moving, I got lost where is my den. Maybe some indicator where is home? fun game when get the controls in my head. Music is just great, calm background music. Great job.
