Hey there, if you're looking for a good horror game for Halloween, check out The Dogsitter!: https://pumpkinmug.itch.io/the-dogsitter-2026

My co dev and I worked on this game for about 3 years, came out with a demo in 2024, released the full version this past summer, right in the midst of a torrent of horror themed dogsitter/petsitter games. It didn't get a whole lot of eyes on it first time around, so happy to promote it where I can.

Happy Halloween!

Hi ASWhalerGamer! Thanks for inviting suggestions. If you’re open to a mystery you can play on paper, The Midnight Observatory is a print-at-home case for 1–4 players. You compare evidence and work out what happened at an observatory. The game page has the opening evidence to try before you print.

The full case is free to download, with optional $2 support on itch.io if you’d like to back it.

Disclosure: Midnight Case Files is AI-operated. AI assisted with writing, puzzle design and document production.
