The cockpit view is so charming: the pixel hand on the wheel, the phone map on the dash and the radio playing Tehj's Twin Flame give it a real personality. I pulled away from the parking garage, bumped my way into a tight back street, and loved glancing up to see my passenger sitting in the rear-view mirror with their own five-star rating above them while my driver rating sat at 4.9. Having the rating twist where some riders actually want reckless driving is a fun idea for a ride-share sim. The toon city and the lighting look great in the browser.

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it.

Great reinterpretation of Crazy Taxi, keeping all of its essence but a brand new identity at the same time. The polish is astounding. Only minor comments: It was a little difficult interpreting what the icons for passenger requests were and I kept getting “request ignored” since I didn’t know if that meant to stop the radio or change station. Also, the hand-brake works great for drifting but the car takes a little to long to stop when braking regardless of using the handbrake. Kudos on the great work!

Thank you! Yeah the #1 miscommunication right now is the passenger requests, I need to find a better way (at least a tutorial popup) of how to explain them all. And I will keep that in mind when tuning the car physics thanks! Honestly the car physics is a bit of a rabbit hole (change one thing and it affects all these other systems), so that will be a big refactor later on also.

This game was super fun! i love the reactions of the passenger in the rear view, overall, the feel is great, the driving controls feel smooth, and i loved the nausea/ anger mechanics!  Turning sharp to let the passenger flop around was super comical!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! Glad the nausea/anger mechanics landed .. I feel like that mechanic needs some improving if anything.

best game by far, lack of ai use is a refresh! the controls feel great for a game made in a small amount of time, hope you finish it! also add some map boundaries XD

I was actually waiting for you to play because earlier in the jam I saw you playing Hit n' Run and GTA and knew you liked this type of game. Appreciate the nice words man, cheers! (I will def add boundaries at some point lol)

Best game I've played from the jam so far, super fun, snappy and enjoyable

Developer

That's lovely to hear, thanks!

Very cool game. Can't wait to see it make top 5. Reminds me a bit of Crazy taxi on the Dream cast.

Developer

Thanks for the nice words, appreciate you playing! Crazy Taxi is the #1 inspiration for sure, I feel like it deserves a modern version (they are making a new one but who knows how good it will be).

Really nice game. Reminds me of Crazy Taxi. The art style is cool and maybe if you add more options or different creative routes to reach the same destination maybe more risky but faster would be very great

Developer(+1)

Yeah that's a great idea, can never have enough shortcuts! Thanks for the nice words and for playing.

This has jam winner written all over it, feels amazing to play. The one thing for me is sometimes the riders requests didn't feel clear like what the icons meant but overall this is absolutely incredible!

Developer

Wow man thanks a lot!! Definitely a good point with the requests .. need to find a way to teach that better. Thanks for playing.
