Design Statement
Memories of You is inspired by the melancholy that comes with memories of a loved one, which is explored through the lens of a wind-up ballerina doll. She attempts to find her way back home. Each new environment she explores is steeped with nostalgia of when she was once cherished and held deeply by a child.
Our team interpreted the given soundtrack with a story that emphasizes the music piece’s resemblance to a clock ticking and a melody of a music box. The piece begins with a slow, somberful tone that gradually builds up to a feeling of hope and adventure. Taking these elements, it only made sense to have our protagonist take the form of a wind-up doll around a story that places an emphasis on time.

Very beautiful art style, I liked how you got the theme interpretation, Toy Story-like :D congrats on the game!
The game design is truly amazing, to have for each doll part a new mecanism to play with is genius, you have improved the metroidlike mecanism but with nintendo philosophy, congratulation !
Incredible visuals (including the itch page btw!) and story, I felt like I'm playing a steam demo because of how smooth the onboarding was. Though my run ended early because I got softlocked. I got stuck on the part where I am meant to get a piece of me from the bird by jumping and probably by shaking the branch doing so, but no matter how much I seemed to jump (long strong jumps, small frequent jumpts etc) I couldn't get past it and had to call it there. Maybe I missed something hmm.
Also that monkey toy almost made the game turn into a horror game for me, I was worried it would actually start chasing me haha.
Really impressive story and level design! Lighting and cutscenes were also very amazing. Good job!
