Design Statement
Echo Voyage treats the theme track as an invitation to listen, make room, and decide what to carry onward. Rather than assigning the music one correct emotion, I let players optionally describe their own response on two simple axes, or skip the questions entirely. Those responses gently weight card affinities; a separate random seed keeps the same answer from producing the same hand.

I translated that open interpretation into a small starport journey: twelve symbolic cards, two uses per card, combinations, six destinations, and a maximum of four visits. Players choose a ship module and a personal goal, see the cost of each action, and may return early. Helping, preserving, connecting, and declining are all meaningful choices. Later messages show how a small gesture continues after departure.

The provided Jason Grace recording is included unmodified. AI-assisted artwork and development are explicitly disclosed. The questions are optional, local-only creative inputs, not a psychological test or hidden emotion inference.

Game Instructions (launch steps, controls, and gameplay overview)
Browser: open the game page and click Run game. Mac: download echo-voyage-macos-arm64.zip, extract it, and launch Echo Voyage.app. Requires Apple Silicon and macOS12+; ad-hoc signed, not Apple notarized. English is the default; the top-right Chinese button changes language. Use mouse/touch, or Tab and Enter/Space; Escape closes dialogs. Choose Begin a voyage, a ship module, and a departure goal. Listen to the original one-minute track, then answer or skip the optional local-only questions. Choose three cards from seeded drafts; Reverse previews a card's other use. Pick destinations on the chart, preview an action/card pair and its energy cost, then confirm. Visit up to four of six places or return early. The return report includes your route and subsequent messages. No rhythm timing is required.

Walkthrough video: the linked game page hosts Echo-Voyage-Walkthrough.mp4 in its Downloads section. Download it to watch a silent step-by-step walkthrough captured from actual browser gameplay.

Did your project use any AI tools or assets? If yes, please specify.
Yes.20 illustrations were generated with GPT Image:12 card faces,1 card back,4 environments,2 portraits and the cover. Codex assisted the original game design, bilingual writing/dialogue, programming, native wrapper, documentation and tests. The official Jason Grace theme recording is used unmodified only in this Jam entry. Feedback sounds are short synthesized tones from game code, not samples from the theme or AI-generated music. No runtime model API is required. AI use is disclosed on the game page and in-game credits.
