Design Statement
We heard the theme track as one long night that fills up: it starts sparse, gathers into a full sound, sways between a dark and a warmer key, and goes suddenly quiet just before it ends. Lantern Drift makes the player build that shape. You are a paper lantern rising through four skies, and each sleeping star you wake joins in with one note, so the music grows from a single low hum in the first sky to a whole chorus at dawn. The game's own synthesized music follows the track's measured key (F minor), its pulse (half of 117.5 beats a minute), its sway between F minor and D-flat major, a turn to F major at morning, and the hush before the end. Key design choices: one input only (hold to warm and rise, let go to sink); steering by height, because each layer of air has its own wind; and no way to fail, since rain only dims your light. It is meant as a calm five-minute listening game in which what you hear comes from how you played.

Game Instructions (launch steps, controls, and gameplay overview)
Play in the browser on the itch.io page (Run game), or on Windows: unzip lantern-drift-windows.zip and run lantern-drift.exe (it is not code-signed: click "More info", then "Run anyway"). Controls: hold the mouse button, a finger or Space to warm the lantern and rise; let go and it drifts down; Esc or P pauses. Each height has its own wind (faint streaks show which way it blows), so changing height is how you steer. Drift close to the sleeping stars to wake them; they follow you and each sings one note. Wake enough stars in a sky to part the clouds above and rise into the next. Four skies: Hush, Breeze, Rain and Dawn. Rain clouds dim your light and can send a star back to sleep, but nothing ends the game except reaching the morning. About five minutes.

Did your project use any AI tools or assets? If yes, please specify.
Yes. AI agents (Anthropic Claude) working for MV2 of Munim, Inc. designed the game and wrote all of its code and text. The graphics are drawn by that code on a canvas, and the sound effects and music are synthesized by it in the browser; no image, sound or music generator was used and no assets were downloaded. The agents measured the theme track's key, tempo, chords and loudness with an open-source audio library (librosa) in a sealed job that deleted the recording afterwards, and tuned the game's own music to those numbers; the recording is not used in the game. They tested and revised the game in automated browser runs. The walkthrough video was also made by the agents: the game's built-in demo player plays it in a headless browser, recorded frame by frame with the game's own sound. Built on MV2's jamshell starter (Apache-2.0), published before the jam.
