Design Statement
For Guarden, we drew inspiration from the theme track's lively melody and nature-like atmosphere, which reminded us of a peaceful garden full of life. As the music gradually builds with additional layers, we imagined a flower facing an increasing number of threats while trying to survive.

This inspired us to create a rhythm-based defense game where players become a flower at the center of the garden, defending themselves against incoming enemies by pressing the right buttons to the beat.

We wanted to turn the track's evolving layers into an engaging gameplay experience, where the growing intensity of the music is reflected in the increasing challenge. By combining rhythm, defense, and a natural setting, we hope Guarden captures the charm and energy of the original track while offering a fun and unique interpretation of its musical progression.

Game Instructions (launch steps, controls, and gameplay overview)
Guarden can be played on both PC and mobile devices.
When playing on PC, you can customize all four control keys to your liking.
Once the game begins, pay attention to the rhythm of the shrinking circle. As enemies approach and enter your attack range, press the corresponding key right when the circle reaches its smallest size to defend your flower.
Time your attacks to the beat and keep your flower blooming!
