Amazing game, I loved the gameplay, the use of the cards and the sprites.
There is just one thing that holds this game back and that is that this game gets repetitive pretty fast. Maybe adding more enemies the further you get would help with that.
Over all a very good game, especially considering you only had 72 hours.
Great entry! I really enjoyed it, Im doing video feedback if yee intrested
Wow, I'm honored! I thoroughly enjoyed watching that entire video! I'm thrilled that you played it for so long! You got pretty good, which was impressive for playing with a mouse/PC. I'm glad you later figured out that it was intended for mobile. It becomes a whole different experience when you can play multiple actions at once. ;) And I'm also glad you figured out the scoring system. As for playing with one card, I find it to be a fun challenge to go as far as I can on the last card, especially since that's when you get the most points!
I agree I should add keyboard inputs, and explain the points system in the instructions, as well as smaller point values.
And yes, the little guy is a doom reference! (He also sorta looks like the Master Chief, haha)
Thanks for making this video!
And here is the gamejam's winner. Great job, the game was well polished in all aspects, arts, sound and mechanics!
As feedback, the cards shuffle sometimes are a little unfair, nothing that a little balance with the shuffle shouldn't handle.
Now speaking about the UI, the cards are a little too big, it's kinda hard to switch fast between one another. Using keyboard for cards usage and making it a little smaller should do the trick.
Congratulations!
Oh my, thanks! haha!
Currently it's just a 1/3 chance for any of the 3 cards to show up. Perhaps some built-in luck mitigation to ensure a card shows up in no more than X draws?
The game was really designed with mobile phone play in mind, hence the large cards. I should have included keyboard bindings to play with the number keys for PC.
Thanks for playing and commenting!
graphics, sound design, and concept are excellent. The game's just a bit too hard for me :)
Man was this nice! I really liked the concept and as someone mentioned i do feel like it will work on mobile, as for pc i think it would be better if you could use keybinds instead of clicking them imo.
Super interesting concept and I can definitely see it working well on mobile. The web version was a bit too fast paced for me...
Very nice take on the limitation and I found myself getting incredibly frustrated (in a good way) when I had to rapidly choose what card I wanted to use :)
Fun game! I played it in the browser and had some difficulty clicking the cards fast enough at first, but got used to it pretty quickly.
Cool concept! I played on web, but I can see how it'd definitely be better/easier to play on mobile. I'll have to give a shot! Liked the art too!
