I am on the Mac version. And I got pretty far into the game when I died. I tried saving but it always comes up with this error message. It is my first time playing a rpg player game so that may be it. Please help I enjoy playing this but it sucks when you get into it and you have to restart.

I assume the problem you have is when the game is on a write-protected folder. The game want's to create a new save file, but the system doesn't allow it. Moving the game folder to a location that is not write-protected should solve the problem. Sadly I don't know enough about Macs to say where exactly that would be on that system.
