is there any chance a cheat mode would be added for those who have lost their save files  I was pretty far in the game just before I was to find the item needed to get into the castle and when I updated the game I lost my save file and have to start from scratch again

We are really sorry that you lost your save file. We didn't plan to add any cheat mode for now, but we added a cloud saving that you can use for free.
