Freaking awesome art style and very witty narrative. I think you've got a knack for game building and would love to see your future work. No critiques from me, only a suggestion that future polishing on this include include more HUD or UI elements that could show enemy health, your accuracy stats, or something interesting to track. If that makes sense.
If you have a second to hop by 1-minute game this weekend, I'd love your critique and rating!
This was super fun! Absolutely loved the writing and the fourth wall breaking <3 Very funny game! Also, great shoot mechanics! Felt dead on, even from a distance, and had a satisfying fire sound!
If you find some time this weekend, please check out our game “Starship Minis”, if you haven’t already, and leave a comment to let us know what you think! /jam/vr-jam-2021/rate/1145490
Thanks and congrats on completing the jam!!
Certainly not a tech demo. I like the little surprises here and there in the level. Best part of course was the cannon followed up by when I discovered I could use dualies. Not sure about the bat though
Yeah the cannon experience was a fun moment of discovery when my programming was bad, and I liked the result. :) I also had fun dual wielding the pistol and wish I had time to put more things to shoot. I think I prefer an overheat mechanic versus an ammo-magazine mechanic for sci-fi weapons. But I didn't have time for that so infinite ammo it is! Yes, the bat is two-handed but even then I felt like maybe the hand positions were wrong. Couldn't get it to feel reliable. Thanks for your comments!
