I loved this game! However I found a bug where you can move before the game starts, which gives you a huge advantage. Other than that I really enjoyed playing through!
Cool game! I think it would benefit a lot from a change in the hitboxes, it can be quite frustrating, especially in the last level, otherwise pretty fun :)
+ The game is pretty fun.
+ The running animation is kinda hilarious and fun to watch.
+ John runs pretty fast which makes the game pretty challenging and more fun to play.
+The fast music adds to my excitement of running from John, nice one. ;)
-In my opinion you need to make the colliders more visible as colliding with them and not being able to move from some areas that seemed open to move from made it a bit annoying.
-More levels would make the fun go on. ;)
I found myself getting stuck on the furniture a lot on the last level.
on the last level it seemed like if you went to check one side and the key wasn't there, the brother would basically trap you there since you couldn't fit through any of the gaps.
Would have liked to see more levels and better level design (getting stuck on the last level)
Good job finishing your game!
Doesn't make sense for me that you need to mouseclick on the magnifying glass to search somewhere, this action would be better suited for a button. Also sometimes I got stuck trying to go through some gap in the furniture I couldn't, because the colision is much bigger than the sprites.
Anyways, amazing run animation
Funny game with a large capacity for improvement. I like the idea of escaping the brother. Previous authors mentioned problems with collisions, I experienced that too. It would be cool to make gameplay more complex, for example, the player could destroy something or rotate to change the shortest way from brother to you. I hope you will polish that idea ;)
fun game! i like the music and also enjoyed the cut scenes at the beginning and the end. i think the colliders are a bit too bulky though, it’s a bit hard to navigate through the levels.
Great game but the collisions were very strange as Jack could go through areas easily whereas the player could not. It also fits with the limitation quite loosely and it has no connection with sports. Very cool concept though and I enjoyed it a lot overall.
This is my favorite so far. It's pretty complete as a game.
I did bump in to some annoyances, for example, when clicking around in panic while dying, I accidentally clicked the button that restarted the game because there's no pause between dying and that menu :P Also, once I found and caught the key but somehow I couldn't get through the door in level 2? Maybe some collision boxes that are a bit off? (could just be me though).
Either way, I give it high ratings because it's a playable game from start to finish, and every aspect of feels 'well done', which is rare for a jam game!
Great game!!!

PROS:
1) The music is ear candy.
2) The player is informed about the game elements in a well-thought-out sequential manner.
3) The game is very engaging, keeps the player hooked with minimal elements.
POSSIBLE IMPROVEMENTS:
1) The brother can use a smarter AI rather than just following a straight path to the player. The current approach makes him float over objects like a ghost.
2) The location of keys can be randomized.
Thanks a lot, i really appreciate the feedback! It would have made much more sense to randomkze the key location, you're right. Also, i tried to make the brother not float over everything, but then he got stuck and that wasn't that good either, i definetly should have spended more time on the pathfinding. But thanks a lot! :D
I like how you use the limitation, but the collider for door in level 2 is kinda confusing.
