Once you sell items they don't come back (maybe get sort of a pawn system ? like a tab in the shop that holds the items you sold them at "shop price"/more expensive that when you sold them).
I don't know if there's multiple places to buy those though, maybe there's multiple vendors who sell them (or if it really bothers you, try modifying the save).
