I think you're just confusing something and I don't really get what the problem actually is. When Flameron uses a channel with a butt icon, then you need to use the Butt iconed ACT skill to interrupt that, then you have 1 turn to deal damage. He only has 3, very powerful skills he uses. You want to interrupt each, so you're not wiped out by them.
If you don't do any damage then you should check your armor and and weapons. Water weapons and spells are good against Flameron. Have you set your stats? What level are you? Flameron is the last boss of Fire Dungeon so he's pretty hard, I think he becomes easier once you get him to 50% HP.
Water Dagger you get from the 1st floor might be good, or any dagger and then you use the dagger skills to deal damage since they ignore defense.
