I want to progress the story with Cecily but I don't want to kill Adam.

Is this possible?

yes but you need to have worked for adam before hand and not sure if its a requirement but you may also need 20 wisdom for it just select old job (edit: wisdom from glasses,timid or staff does not count need 20 trait wisdom if wisdom is needed)

By 'worked for him' do you mean the DOOMFORT quest?

Because I took the quest but couldn't find the camp he was talking about.

yes the camp is inside doom fort by the way door to the right

So I did this.
Not only does Adam not die, you get a rifle.

I support this.

1- Go to Doom fort and do all of his quests until you are rewarded with the Musket.
2- Go to Milo and do his quest until you reach Adam, just talk to him and tell him that you did some "Old job" with him.

from this moment Adam will be saved from dying needlessly and you will be able to meet him in 2 future quests, altho he is as of now in the current story development... Not needed to be kept alive.

wouldn't you want to join the discord and tell the dev about the error? that doesn't seem like a cool crash.
