I think my main complaint about this game is one already stated with the directionality of the beams. I did eventually figure it out! Otherwise I actually really enjoyed this. Controls could have been better as mentioned, but it wasn't a huge hindrance either. Nice entry, and nice idea combining the beams to match the theme.

The gameplay/controls requires some work. Like others have commented, using the splitter was not intuitive, but otherwise very nice submission.

I made it to the 2nd level but couldn’t figure out how to proceed.

This seems correct based on the instructions and the first level, but it seems it’s not correct.

It’s an interesting design, and I love the fluid animation on the “pointer” square, but I think the actual gameplay is too confusing :/

Yes, this is the #1 bad consequence of my lack of time: lack of clarity. That Halver has a direction; it produces different patterns if you light it from the left or the right (basically, the pattern gets inverted). Turn the Halver 180° and that should work.

That's nice to have the commands in the game itself. The controls are a bit complicated but I did it to the end.

Too bad there are too few levels, this has potentials :)

Ah, it was building up toward something nice. Shame there isn't more levels to explore the mechanics better.

The (first?) level with red and green dashes combined didn't trigger the sink for me.

That's because you didn't clear it 😉

I admit that's confusing, but the Halver does have a direction, and depending on it the pattern is different. You can try turning it 180 degrees and that should solve it.

Good game, I'm glad you posted the instructions and keybindings clearing. With that said, they keys were not very intuitive, I suggest adding mouse input and drag and drop to make it easier to play. Also don't end levels immediately, I want to see the beam go and hit my target once I've solved the puzzle instead. Good job, fun game with lasers!

exactly. there should be some intimation that the level was passed by the player. Otherwise a good game.

All fair feedbacks. I had most in mind but lacked some time, and more importantly I was quite afraid those would take a lot of the jam time away, especially the "don't end level immediately" that requires me touching that cursed Flex model of Bevy's UI 😅
