Been stuck there for a while too
I put it in the easiest mode & farmed for points to increase strength stat.
went direcly under the head & spammed the blue magic, trying to avoid as much spit as possible
once the magic depleted, switched to purple and continued
got a bit of blue back until I spammed it again, turns out it was enough to defeat it
