Top notch art! Really love the city with all its characters and their animation! I must admit I was positively surprised by the ending. Very much looking forward to more GameBoy games from you! :D

You're more than right about music. I didn't have time to pay more attention to sounds because I was too concerned about graphics and fluidity. Lots of content was removed at the end too, and I don't have any musical talent. That was all I had to offer in the seven days! Haha! But I'm still working on the game and probably will present something better at the moment the Jam comes to its end.
Love the graphics entirely!
About the gameplay: maybe some hints of what to do will help, because there is so much time exploring not knowing what to do. Cool entry.
Thank you! :) There are a lot of things I'd like the player to discover. Opening doors is one of them. You need to pay attention to the dialogue because not explicitly showing what you can do is intentional. To make a good surprise when you discover it. I spent a day thinking about implementing some marks on doors or not.
Let me know which parts of the game you feel a bit lost, and I'll make it somehow clear without holding the player's hand. :)
OHHH these graphics are so TASTY!!!! i love the scenery vibes and the intro scene - the sprites are so full of character!! i would have loved to be able to jump on the fences, too but that's aight!
a bug i found is that if you check your bag too early in chapter 6 it makes the ghost go away and it doesn't trigger chapter 7 but the good news was leaving and coming back to the map reactivates the disappeared ghost. but i am now also on chapter 7 and cannot progress even though i have all of the ingredients.
i will try again after i have rated all of the other games, but thank you so much for sharing this game!! it was so charming and i am a HUGE fan of the style and characters!! my friend from high school was also diabetic so his nickname was sugarfree - i love the rep! wonderful job on the game!!!!
Oh! I am so sorry for you to experience that. I'm tweaking the game during the voting stage to share an updated version right after that. I took note, and I'll try to reproduce and fix it!
Thanks for your kind words! In the original idea, we could walk on the fences and reach the houses' rooftops, but that wasn't the intention.
I'll follow you and let you know as soon as possible when I think everything is ready for a second run! <3
no worries!! i went trigger happy with opening the bag, so i can see why things messed up haha - i am very excited to see the ending, but i gotta push through 30 more before voting period ends!! so it'll be a sweet treat for me later (pun intended)
thank you again for all your wonderful work!! catch you later!!! your game was def a fav of mine!! <3
aw man, this is so sweet! The characters were very nice and wholesome, and although I wont spoil the twist, it was really nice as an ending surprise.
this was very cute. the writing was silly and fewlt right at home for a game boy game.super cute protagonist design and great BG tiles. well done!!
I confess the story's script was kind of easy to write. I'm a silly guy, so it's my daily basis. XD The challenging part of the artwork was to create large illustrations without repetition. The intro and final scenes have a blank background for that reason. I could use a Logo scene time if it was possible to add a dialogue box on it, but sadly it's not possible. =/
And thank you for playing! :)
Thanks, bro! Seeing your reaction while playing the game was an incredible experience. :) I'm glad you could have some fun with it! And don't worry about the window! When I implement the entire quest, I'll let you know so you can clean it! XD My friends are mad at me because they can't clean it too. I developed a new trauma. Haha.
A good adventure that allowed me to discover a new pastry from Brazil, from where you send us this game I guess? I really had a good time, English is not my native language either and I understood everything, so it was perfect! Congratulations for the graphics, and I don't know if everybody is so nice in Brazil, but in France, the neighbors wouldn't have given us any candy :p
