I had some difficulty understanding the upgrades menu but I loved the art and gameplay! Very well done, good job!
A remarkably beautiful game given the time constraints, would love to see a full version of this!
Excellent job.
It's really polished! The game looks and sounds great. My main turn off was the way you communicated information. I had a hard time udnerstanding the goal and the controls, as well as the upgrade menu
It could also be interesting to feed all this information to the player over time rather than at the same time. But considering the short amount of time we had it's totally fair °°
Graphics and audio are very great :) I didn't understand what to do at first, but I think it's good, the hints on the walls were enough, I just had to use my brain. With some more polishing this could be a really nice game
Damn, the pixel art in this is AMAZING, i love the color choice, and its easy to contrast everything from the background. Easy 5 stars on Graphics :D. Although, i didnt really know what to do in the game itself, i was basically stuck mining things and shooting enemies until i died. Maybe add a tutorial in the beginning of the game. But otherwise the game was juicy and overall pretty fun!
Really great roguelike game but pixelization may be a bit too much as it's sometimes just hard to see a thing.
Absolutely lovely graphics and art style, and the music you went for pairs very well with it, classic feeling :D The tutorial hints in the background are a little hard to see as they blend in with the art / tiling, but otherwise that was very much appreciated. I found the colour palette to be really visually appealing, and overall the game gave me a nostalgic feeling. Gave the same feeling pokemon does :) I was a little confused about how picking things up and going to the shop worked at first, but overall, cool game!
Gorgeous art, loved the sound. The only things I have to say is the shop hurt to look at because of the static animation and the having to swim all the way back up paired with how fidgety the hooks felt made getting back up a little frustrating. Overall I had a lot of fun playing this though.
I like the play>die>upgrade loops, though in this game It seemed like I lost everything I picked up after dying and going to the shop, do you actually have to swim all the way back up to keep it? I found the flashing effect on the shop and depth meter to be very hard to look at, but the rest of the graphics were very pleasant, as was the menu music.
Thats a nice take on this jam´s theme! Good artwork, liked that a lot! Only problem: The stuttering follow camera gave me some nausea, maybe thats something that can be polished?
Decent game, overall!
What a game!
Things I enjoyed ✔️
- Wow! This is the most fun Ive had playing these Game Jam Games!
- The soundtrack is amazing! The sound effects, the character design! You did a great job!
- The UI is perfect for this game! The color pallet was a superb choice for this game!
Things I would like to possibly see with your title. 🤷♂️
- Nothing!!!
Overall 📓
You did a great job on this one! Be very proud of this game! Because this is the best one Ive reviewed so far! 5/5 across the board! Good job!
That really took me back 30 years to my first Nintendo, especially the Audio FX :) I think it has great potential, but by biggest issue was trying to decipher the UI and text. I think maybe on a smaller screen might be easier to read. Well done.
