Is it might be considered an option of asking an NPC in a tavern to spend a day/night in their room through prostitution (or begging maybe?) play style? it might be like an alternative of buying a key, when you roll a check and if it is succseses you will get some new random sex statistic and maybe some statuses (Drunk, wounds), but immediately after it get some rest as if you have used a key (so birth control pills would be useful in this case).

Certainly a fun scenario. I would enjoy seeing it or something like it. Outside of taverns too, even. Share tents and the like in maps with tents for better sleep.
