Like seriously. I see lots of games and game descriptions, maybe there is room for improvement.  Because the game is leagues better than the description, thumbnail and screenshots  make you expect.

Sure there are some rough edges in the game. Be it the typos, some details, or even story elements.

But this is a solid lewd management game with corruption story - and emancipation. And a surprising amount of "side quests".

Advertising and promotion is hard, but the free stuff should be used advantatgously.  I see three of those points where near zero effort could improve the ratio of people trying out the game vs leaving after a glance. Tags. Thumbnail/Screenshots. Description.

People can find games with tags, and some of the tags of the game are useless, even misleading. This is not a casual game. Skin color is not used as a game tag (you can use this and other aspects    gratuitously in the descritiption, so google will find the game better for those that look for it). sex and adult end  erotic is the same tag. One is enough, and adult starts with a and is in the list of suggested tags. Management and female prot are good. I would add something like corruption, 150 games have that one. Slice of life would fit the game very well.

The thumbnails could be more enticing. The image one sees without going to the game page. And the two screenshots you see when hovering over the  game link. The current thumbnails shows one minor side quest situation that is not really representative for the game. I would expect 50 shades of gray wannabe or something like that, after seeing that one. Also the two screens could look more promising. And there could be more interesting screens on the page as well, like from that one objective with the cosplay. G comes around and experiences lots of wild  and naughty   stuff, the screens do not capture that.

The description is three sentences long. Uhm. Ok.  I  understand that spoilers are bad. But a little more fluff so that people would know and like G   better and would want   to     follow her story of lewd escapades and    emancipation, might be a good idea.   Also, this is a lewd game, so the info that maybe half the action is between females, would be helpful. None of the screens indicates that.

My theory is, that there are two kinds of downvotes. People hate the content. Or people thought that they would content X, but had to endure content Y and were dissappointed. Because people that genuinly are not interested in your content do also not bother. Your game is good, but there were points where I thought, nahh. She is so stupid, why does she do that. I have no control, I do not want her to do that, let me outa here. So maybe some people rated the game without playing more than 1-2 chapters. For me the teaser information that it is a story about emancipation would have helped. In the end I stayed for the management aspect a while longer and the story did not turn out the way I  dreaded.

Wish you luck. And for your other project, the two 2 stuff is hard to read, but no idea how to improve that. In this game I just started with 2 six and called bluff afterwards. And I won quite often with that strategy.

PS I see what you did with both title names ;-)

Developer

Thank you for your comments. I greatly appreciate it. I just wished you would have given me this response since last year.  I'll start adjusting some of these things you suggested.

This game actually turned out different to how I had originally envisioned it, but I still liked how it turned out in the end. I hope to start the sequel next year.

Since you still do active development you can always change and update  according to new insights and skills about how to present your stuff.

And if you plan on a sequel, you could even do a "remaster" where you exterminate those typos (like having coffee with your eshe. Your eshe what?) and freshen up certain interface  options (so they do not look like a 90s management game) or update the dice minigame to whatever evolves from your dice centered game.

Just look how others do it. Granted, that is not a guarantee for success, but there are some common pitfalls one could avoid. I see it from a player's perspective. The method of finding games on itch is not very optimal. Especially the tags are lacking. Every dev can use whatever they like.    There is a list of suggested tags to browse for,  but every tag is valid and most people probably do not even realize that you can put custom tags in the browse box. But as soon as you have a game that you like, you can click on the tags to find similar games. So using tags that no one  else uses, is one of those pitfalls. Also, there is google, so having a good description not only helps with players reading what to expect, but also to find you via outside search engine.

And after thinking about it a second time, your game perfectly fits slice of life tag.

Slice Of Life

  • Work centered on following a character through the ups and downs during a notable part of their life. There's often more of an emphasis on characterization, relationships, and a series of dramatic events than on strict adherence to conventional story structures and plotlines.
  • I have a big backlog of games to look at. I probably put your game on it a couple months ago, either because of management+adult tag or because it showed up in related games and had those management type looking elements in the screens. I like my adult games with game play.
