I really didn't understand this game, sorry. The lightning and art is very nice though.
I invite you to play my game as well. 🥸

I physically do not know how to play this, so any rating I give would be unfair. I’m sorry, but more intuitive controls or a tutorial would probably be good for this. Maybe that’s a bit too much to ask for a game jam, but I physically cannot progress without help and I’m not afraid to admit that.
Again, sorry. Thank you for sharing anyway. Could you give any advice on how to move forward? I’ll give a rating if I can figure this out.
It's supposed to be a rage game, so the controls were supposed to be hard, but I'll explain. W moves you forward in any direction that you use
if you use the A and D keys to rotate to where you want to go. Also the mouse shoots, and there's dark matter when you spawn in, then some when you go down to the left then go more left and you'll find the third one. Go right and up and you'll find the remaining 3 you need to go to the next level.
I don’t know. Maybe there is something wrong on my end then?
When I press W, I kind of move forward, but then the ship stops less than a second later. Pushing the W button after that has inconsistent results, but most of the time doesn’t move the ship at all.
The A and D keys definitely rotate the ship, moving it slightly, but the rotation distance is fixed, so I can’t use them to shimmy forward.
I questioned if your movement direction has to do with where your turret is facing, but that doesn’t seem to impact anything. I thought that, maybe, it’s a time-based thing. Nothing changed after multiple minutes of actively moving and while waiting at a standstill. I tried shooting in place multiple times, but there is either no knockback or the knockback is unnoticeable. Maybe I needed to button mash? Didn’t work. Maybe I needed to time my forward presses in a specific pattern? If so, I couldn’t figure out the pattern.
Plus, whenever I do seem to move, it feels unnatural as forced as I move off-screen, and back into the middle again. I’m not sure if I’m progressing or not, as there is no indication of such.
I simply cannot progress. I’m sorry. I’m not even raging; I’m just confused.
I did manage to collect three dark matter tho! The juice you have in the shooting is really good.
Question: is the white square I see on my screen, which is moving with the exact same movements as the ship, intentional?
There was just this small white square, which I first assumed was a stray particle. I took more notice it when I saw it was rotating when I rotated, and in the same way too. It looked like one of the stars in the intro, if you need a description.
Since I never made it past the first room, I found it there.
