The game is quite fun, the particle effects of the pizza are amazing. I like the art. Things to think of: make the game a bit faster, transitions, polishing in general(more particles, music, different fonts), I did not quite got the theme in it, but the game was cool anyways. Good job !

I agree that the pacing is a bit slow. I actually tried to up the speed before submission, but it broke everything. I just abandoned that idea as I didn't have enough time to get everything working correctly. I'll take more time during my next jam to get the pacing right from the start.
I think you're off to a great start, and a foundation for a game that can easily be built upon and expanded. Right now it feels a bit slow, and repetitive, but with some more enemies, puzzles and something to invest the coins grind into.. You'll have a fun game on your hands!! Well done for your first. I know how stressful it is, this was also my first!

Shepherds DistressToo grindy and repetitive. You need to add some enemy variety and also make the entire thing shorter. I got to the boss, got it down to half and then died, but I have no reason to want to play more

PAL is your friendThanks for the play and honest feedback! I didn't realize it was either of those as you can avoid and run past most of the enemies. If you try to kill everything, I can definitely see where you are coming from. It's my first game jam, so I'll keep this in mind for the next one.
I would have loved to add more enemy variety, sprite animation, and varied AI especially for the Boss fight. However being my first game jam, I simply ran out of time. I learned a lot on this project though, so that should help me better manage my time in the future.
