Ahh yes the fairy quest. Here's the rooms that connect and to which door. If you get lost: the top door takes you to the start. At the end of the list is an ideal route that I have confirmed works.

I should note if I'm saying a direction, it is the direction of the circles and NOT the actual "easy" door.

Get the elf book from the east side of Royal City, and return the book to one of the kids in the orphanage (west side of the city)

Main place I know of is the first time you enter the mansion, with the ghost ladies. Otherwise, I'd check the catacombs of the pyramid.

You can also buy them from one of the hooded figures in the underground of the slums that are a part of the Royal city
