The idea:

You're a trader in the pre-colonial Andes. You're an alpaca - unless I have time to make a person. You find people who want things and go and get it for them, bring it back, and get paid. It's a pretty peaceful job, but its not without its dangers. Jaguars stalk you as you wander the jungles and bears roam on the mountains you traverse. What's more, things are changing... Slowly but surely getting worse. Disease is spreading and the animals that often bother you are only getting more desperate.

So far, we've got pretty little progress. :/ Made a cool alpaca sprite. Got some stuff moving and implemented a way to automatically pick up items from shops and deposit your inventory at shops that have requests. That needs to be expanded, but I'm going to get a basic jaguar working - shouldn't be too bad. Then, a fight between you and a jaguar... we'll see how complex that gets... Then, multiple map sections - 2 cities and a jungle in between. Then, a shop for items to boost your stats. Then, a progression to the difficulty of the game over time and trade orders completed - implementing the disease. From there, we expand the different objects, maps, etc. It would be nice to auto generate most of the items/enemies/maps.

This seems like a really cool spin on the concept! I love the sprites!
