This game has really nice retro style, I like how gameplay is polished. Throwing mechanic feels great and its interesting to use on enemies)
Art and animation are really cute and beautiful, all enemies looks great, also a knight gave me great vibes,
Also I really liked the music and sfx, it fits on 100% to this game! You did a great job!
Really cool dig mechanic with the critical hit sound effect ✨ It's not every day you see a dig wizard, but i really dig it. game was awesome
at first, I had a really rough first run while i learned the timing, until I figured out the dig+defeat dual mechanic. Then it was really satisfying and I stopped making so many mistakes with it leading to losing. I had technical difficulities once my run got going onto level 2 where i got frozen with music still playing, but i think it was from my recording software glitching out with me running too much stuff at once in the background. so i played some more offline.
Great game overall with an interesting unique school of wizardry. I ran an AMAZING cheat code to try a boss battle and got pwnd pretty quickly :D Quite a challenging skill ceiling for sure, especially requiring mastering the items to defeat the boss.
Man that boss on level 5... brutal! After figuring out my move set, I climbed the first 4 levels of the tower quite easily. I couldn't make it past that first boss, and I'll likely come back to give it another try after some more ratings. The visuals are tasty and so is the audio. One thing I noticed was that it plays really slowly on my PC; I had to grab my laptop for it to feel like I could play, and it was still pretty slow compared to some of the other games I've played of yours. Maybe there's an FPS counter or some other setting I can enable to debug/get a little more detail about why it's running so slowly here?
The graphics and the amount of content for a game within such a small time window are very well done!
Had a bit problems with the controls at first (I could only use the arrow keys to move around; the other keyboard buttons didn't work), but I think something went wrong on my end since I reloaded the page before writing the review, and they seem to work fine now.
Cool game, was fun.
