First of all, this jam is just for fun and to motivate myself and others to try and create something, even if the end result is bad or weird. So because of that there won't be a ratting for the VNs, feel free to do your worst without being judged!

Theme: Medieval

You can interpret the theme and shape the story however you want, as long as the theme is involved in some way. But if you want some extra themes for inspiration here are some Extra Themes: Dark Fantasy or High Fantasy, Fairy Tales, wizards and witches, court jester, LARP.

Anyway, create something everyone else would consider as bad and weird but that for you is completely cool, funny, or both!

Rules:

• The art must be made by you or by someone who is on your team. That includes: Drawings of the Character and background. If you want, you can make the song and sound effects original too, but it's ok if you use free songs here from itch.io or other sites. Just be sure to give the proper credits to the original creator.
• No good art allowed! But try your best to do something interesting and unique!
• No AI allowed! AI "art" is bad, but come on, we want bad art with a soul and passion behind it, don't we?
• Don't burn yourself. Unfinished games are allowed. There's also no minimum length for the VN. It can be something silly that last for 5 minutes or the most epic visual novel with 5 billion words, as long as you can handle creating it and enjoy doing so it's fair game.
• You can use any game engine to make it, but the one I will suggest is Renpy because it's free.
• Adult themes are allowed, but be respectful when dealing with serious or delicate topics and use the proper tags and give content warnings
• Have fun creating your VN! (Most important rule!)
