I love the concept. There are a couple of minor things I would like to mention: 1 (this is in regard to my linux setup, so I understand if you can't control it) my mousepad is disabled when I'm typing to alleviate frustrations when typing. Unfortunately, the combination of WASD movement and the mousepad ends up making this tricky to play this game. (Just a thought for a11y should you want to keep working on this game. Maybe there's some way to force-enable the mousepad when the game is running?) and 2) I wasn't familiar with "bullet hell" games until I played this game. I understand the genre now, though, but a little more of an example of what "parry" means at the very beginning would have been helpful. Great work putting this together, though!

Love how the game starts simple and innocent, and then turns into a bullet hell where you are the boss >:D

Thats what I was going for! A bullet hell game which you turn into a bullet heaven via chain reactions with bullets :3

The intro music overlaps with the main music. Neat parry execution: fast, simple and pleasant.

Yes, I'm aware, this was my first time using bevy aside from just copying from a tutorial and I couldn't figure out how to not make it auto-start. I tried to fix it but it didn't work :<

it’s very easy to solve with ScopedState - you just spawning it alongside your entities specifying the screen they are supposed to be present.

Developer

yeeeeee I was trying to make it so the music continues from the spot it got stopped at, I know it's easier to solve with ScopedState but it's just something I wanted to try... and then the temporary solution became the permanent solution :P

What is the main menu music track, it’s an absolute banger.
