This is not a regular jam.
Most game jams award cash prizes and call it a day. The Bezi Mega Jam is built around a different idea: the prizes you win should actually help your career. We are awarding GDC passes, iPads, Bezi Ultimate subscriptions, and cash, because game developers deserve access to the events and tools that help them grow. You can see the full prize breakdown below.
Build your game in any engine, shaped around a theme that will be revealed at the start of the jam. Teams that use Bezi as part of their workflow unlock an additional prize track with even more to win.
The theme will be announced on September 14 at 12:00am PST. Until then, join our Discord for monthly theme hints on the 1st of each month leading up to the jam, plus an early reveal the day before for community members.
Bezi is a development assistant that integrates directly into your game engine, intelligently indexing your entire project to provide context-aware assistance. Whether you are debugging complex issues, generating custom shaders, creating editor tools, or prototyping new mechanics, Bezi understands your specific project structure and coding style to deliver targeted solutions that go far beyond what traditional IDEs can offer. You can download and use Bezi here, or visit our itch.io page.
Using Bezi is optional, but it unlocks more prizes. Teams that use Bezi during the jam and submit a devlog are eligible for the Bezi Challenge, where the Bezi team picks a winner from the top 20 community voted entries. This is on top of everything else you are already eligible for.

GENRE COLLISION
Smash two or more genres together and make them work.
FPS + Roguelike? Sure, we've seen it.
Racing + Tower Defense? Now you're talking.
Dating Sim + Extraction Shooter + Rhythm Game? Okay. You have our full attention.
Your challenge: take genres that don't obviously belong together and make them click.
Play it safe with a combo that already fits, or swing big on two that have no business sharing a cartridge. Risk counts in judging: the more unlikely your pairing, the more impressive it is when you pull it off. But more genres isn't the cheat code. A sharp mix of two unexpected genres beats a messy pile of five. Find something surprising, and make it fun.
So the only question left is: do you play it safe, or risk it for the biscuit?

Join our Discord community to connect with fellow developers, find potential teammates, and share ideas throughout the jam. Monthly theme hints drop on the 1st of each month in #event-chat. For questions about Bezi, please use #bezi-feedback.

We designed these prizes to open doors. Whether it is your first time at GDC, a creative tool you could benefit from, or cash to invest back into your work, every prize track is built to support your growth as a game developer.

Judged by the Bezi team. Teams that mark interest in the GDC passes during submission will be considered. Each member of the winning team (up to 3) gets to choose their pass: a GDC Festival of Gaming pass to attend in person in San Francisco, or a GDC Digital Pass if traveling is not an option. Either way, you are getting access to GDC.

Our team at the Bezi booth, GDC 2026.

Fan Art Theme
Bezi at GDC
This year, the Bezi ghost went to GDC. Now we want to see it through your eyes.
Show us the Bezi ghost taking on the Game Developers Conference however you imagine it: working the booth, badge around its neck, buried under a mountain of swag, front row at a keynote, or making new friends on the show floor. Big adventure or quiet moment, chaotic or charming, the take is yours. We just want to see Bezi's big trip to GDC.
That's our actual team at our GDC 2026 booth above. Use it for inspiration, or send the ghost somewhere we never made it.

|
Entirely your own hand No generative AI, no tracing, no painting over or reusing someone else's work. The whole piece must be human-made by you. |
Made for the jam Create it during the jam, not something pulled from your existing portfolio. Your process video should reflect this. |
|

AI-generated or AI-assisted imagery (including touch-ups, inpainting, or generation of any visual elements) will not be considered. | ๐จ Fan Art Judging Criteria (Bezi Team Judged) | |
|
Theme interpretation How clearly and meaningfully does the piece connect to the revealed theme? Strong entries make the theme central to the work, not a loose afterthought. |
Use of the Bezi ghost How is the Bezi ghost used within the piece? Strong entries give the ghost a real role, personality, or moment rather than just dropping it into frame. |
|
Personality and appeal Does the finished piece have charm, humor, or heart? Strong entries make you feel something, not just land as technically fine. |
Execution and technique How well is it made? Strong entries show confident linework, clean rendering, resolved detail, and control of the chosen medium. |
| ๐ผ๏ธ Fan Art Submission Details | |
| How to submit | Upload your art as a screenshot on your jam page (PNG, JPEG, or GIF). For video, 3D turntables, or interactive pieces, include a link (YouTube, ArtStation, etc.) in your jam page description. You must also include a process video (time-lapse, screen recording, or short clip showing your workflow) to verify the work is yours. Mark during submission that you have submitted fan art. If on a team, include the name of the artist. |
| Eligibility | Open to all jam participants. You do not need to submit a game to enter. One entry per person. Any style or medium. No generative AI art is allowed, and the final piece must be entirely human-created. A process video is required. |
By submitting fan art, you agree that Bezi may feature your work on our social media channels and other promotional materials. Credit will always be given to the artist.
