How does the game fit the theme?
Operating a pawn shop you can never trust a customer walking in to be telling the truth about what they are bringing in, as such you must always investigate the item before you buy it.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Sound effects and the background noise and two of the sprites "items" (the boot and the pink pepper) which were made by some friends.
