How does the game fit the theme?
People come and go; where your shelter places you, you must distinguish the people you need to take into that shelter.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Yes Assets from scratch and they all belong to me, but my friends are helping out for some voices as well.
I took some random sounds from Pixabay

Interesting take on "papers please" like game.

What a lot of games like this don't get quite right is the fact that many choices in "papers please" were moral dilemmas. There often weren't "right" decisions. I'm glad this game understands that in some way.

Having to play darts for my life was unexpected.

Found a bug - If you press hold instead of asking to repeat the numbers, look up info on the tablet and then ask something about this info, game seemingly bugs out. Dialogue doesn't play and you can't use the phone nor make a decision until you look into the tablet. After that, visitor repeats their number and you have to look into the tablet again before asking anything.

Also exit buttons in web exported games usually just freeze the game.

Developer

Thank you so much for the thoughtful breakdown! I'm really glad the moral dilemma aspect landed well and that the mini-game caught you by surprise!

Also, a huge thanks for catching those bugs—that dialogue lockup with the tablet and the web exit button issue are super helpful callouts. The exit button issue is actually just a quirk of WebGL builds, but I've noted both down to clean up for the post-jam update. Thanks for playing and taking the time to write this!

Ellerine saglik. Loved the gameplay. UI was also real nice. Considering you did all the assets from scratch, well done!

A nice and polished interpretation of a "Papers, Please" inspired game that fits the theme of the jam pretty well, I enjoyed my time!

I really enjoyed this game! The visuals and audio work really well together and create a great atmosphere. I also liked the story-driven approach and the Papers, Please-inspired mechanics. There’s a lot of content packed into the game, especially for a 1-week jam. Great job!

Good adaptation to papers please with a story driven take on it. I liked the visual aesthetics of the game. I think the clicky typing sounds was a tad too constant but that isnt something ill take off for its just a preference. cheers mate!

Developer

Thanks a lot, mate! Glad you liked the story take and the visuals. Appreciate the note on the typing sounds too—definitely something I'll keep in mind to tweak for future updates. Cheers!

The visuals are beautiful! I really liked the screen effect and the sound effects. It feels like a very complete game, and adding the option to change the language is a great touch. Awesome work

You packed a lot of content in there, impressive. It felt a bit like "Papers Please".
Good job doing that in 1 week!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! Fitting that much content into just 1 week was a real challenge, so I really appreciate it. Thanks for playing!

Already from the start, I love that it gave me the vibes that I should not feel at ease. I love the UI, and gameplay using the tablet to check stuff. Much less it being 3D. You did so well, I'd like to see this to its fullest game you have in your mind.

Although I played for a while, it seems like theres more content I haven't tried. One of the best games I've played here in the jam!

So many hard decisions...

I ended up winning first try with 2 wrong execution and 3 strikes :D
So the dialogues are really well crafted here, really add to the atmosphere of trusting no one and actually gauging whether I am deciding with logic or emotions.

Love the mid-game dart break too, a small change of pace that is fun to do.
The space you gave with mouse movements are also somewhat cozy and great.

Very nice gameplay but I genuinely don't want to sit 30 minutes going through all that again (It's good that you got it done this much tho the moral and duty/ logic or emotion plays here are remarkable)

Also I don't know if it's me but the background music stopped after a bit? I was enjoying the ambience until it becomes silent and it got a bit lonely in the room even with the watcher talking to me :c

And of course, great visual too! Especially the snowy atmosphere.

Nice game loop! From talking on the walkie, to interrogating the prospects, I was invested the whole time. I did get to about round 4 before realizing a progression or HUD would be nice to give it more gamification, but wondering if maybe time prevented that from coming to be. Nonetheless, it had better theming than most Papers, Please jams I've played, nice job!
