OMG this was brilliant! The dialogue was hilarious. The multiple endings were great. Art was charming. The sound... good! (especially liked the different mumbling sfx for the npc's when they talked.) I actually liked the input mechanic of holding Q while talking... felt like I had to stop myself from accidentally killing people. Only gripe was the font choice - though it fit your medieval shire vibes perfectly, it was hard to read at times, especially with the fish guy who already talks weird lol. Great game!

Incredible entry! It felt like a dream at first because re-entering each room almost reset it, though they all had similar layouts, would have different colored walls or different items or different puzzles. The door knock freaked me out a bit and I got chills when it suddenly opened on its own. I was expecting some kind of jump scare but never got one, however I felt unsettled the whole time playing (first thing I did when entering a room was to turn on the light lol). I eventually did escape. I really enjoyed this one.
Fun and interesting game loop. I like how when the day progressed to night, and my paranoia level went up (I always chose the paranoia option in dialogue) the music and visuals got more twisted and corrupted. I thought selecting which screen the next one will be gave it sort of a sandbox feel, which was empowering in a way but also didn't set clear rules for the map. I wasn't able to get to grandmother either, but had fun exploring and seeing what would happen next.
It's a fun cozy game loop of throwing items into the furnace before the big fish guy eats you! First session, I passed the first level easily, with chairs to spare in the third car. Second session, I fed the furnace faster and the fish caught up to me. Not sure if the monster's speed was random or if train speed was affected by the rate I fed it? Also it was fun feeding people to the furnace (I'm not a psycho).
Really well polished! I liked the animations of the characters during their dialogues, the different art styles between the hand drawn art during the dialogues and the pixel art in the world map. Your Wyn illustration on your itch page is really cool too! Never played Undertale (heard of it though) so I wasn't familiar with the interrogation mechanics but I liked wearing them down to get the info I needed and the little mini game was fun too. Impressed you accomplished all this in a week, nice job!
Nice game! Like others, I really thought it was my system that prevented me from playing. I almost quit until I read the instructions saying (not) to press Quit, lol. But a lot of the rules being unreliable made it difficult to play with a clear goal in mind. The combat was interesting. I really liked the music, but the cards being random had me just clicking everything; still not sure if I won or lost...
Nice jam game, the crude hand-drawn art was charming and fit the vibes. The different modes (shopping, card game, survivor shoot out) was interesting and changed things up. The main menu selections could be more bold; took a minute to realize where to click. Also combat could've been snappier with some juice to really build that tension. Otherwise nice entry overall.
A game that lives up to its name! The first session, I selected Fight each time, and luckily the opponent Spared so I won pretty fast. Second session we both chose Fight... I liked being able to purchase upgrades/boosts with the money I won from previous rounds, however the combat itself was a bit buggy; at one point, I turned, and when I tried turning back around my weapon didn't, so I was attacking behind me. If the combat was more polished it would have been a solid game loop!
Nice start for your first game on itch! Just some constructive criticism - I wasn't sure if the movement was buggy but strafing the whole time made it difficult for a game whose main mechanics is combat. I then discovered that if I hug the wall a certain way, it would rotate my player, but it seemed more random than something I could replicate consistently, so I ended up just moving against a wall whenever I needed to turn and hoped for the best. Also because the projectile spawns behind the character, if I'm backed against the wall, the wall collides with the projectile, negating it.
Edit: I just read that you can rotate with arrow keys... ok that actually makes the gameplay MUCH better! The tank controls actually felt nice (I didn't need to use up or down since the map is pretty level).
It had OG Resident Evil vibes... I was expecting a jump scare, but kind of glad it didn't happen lol. I wanted more content, I was really getting into the mystery of the whodunnit, so I wasn't ready for it to end so soon. Like someone else mentioned, pressing Enter to advance the dialogue had me switching from left to right hand; Space would've been more intuitive since it's already the action button. Also I got stuck on the stairs a few times. Otherwise, nice short jam entry!
I love Blackjack, so I was initially drawn to this. The "characters" eyes with their own personalities, sfx and animations was a cool decision. The calm music was a great choice. However, I feel I wasn't able to play long enough to sus out the altered rule. For instance, one game, I lost all 3 rounds, and the dealer won legitimately, so it seemed like none of the rules were altered; e.g. because I didn't win, I wasn't able to test the payout to see if that rule was altered. I'm sure it's a time issue; if you decide to develop it further, it could be a great game. It's very polished in other aspects!
It was cozy... until it wasn't, lol. I like the vibes, the soothing sounds, the colorful orbs, the controls feel nice (the 180 turn felt satisfying). I feel like it's a 50/50 crapshoot with these orbs, unless you spend your trust on them, but I'd run out so fast that I was just guessing towards the end. I got to level 2 before crashing out, but had a lot of fun playing! Nice job.
Very very scary! From the random monster sound to the overall unsettling vibes, you created a really nice horror game! Not sure if I was supposed to be shearing the sheep at night; I thought shearing would uncover who the fake sheep was, but then all my sheep would die, one by one. I saw the jump scare a mile away but it still got me, lol. Well done!
Actually came here after reading the back and forth in the Discord about your game getting DQ'd. Well, I see it's up now so glad you were able to get that sorted. Any publicity is good publicity as it goes...
As for the game itself, it's a nice Hold 'Em game with a solid game loop. Really intrigued with the enemy AI; I could imagine the complexity involved with creating these archetypes, in such a game with millions of probabilities. Also liked the music choice and the sfx when ante'ing up, as well as the character art. Nice job!
As a programmer, I loved these logic puzzles! The music, visuals, HUD was all very well thought out. The tutorial was very clear, and the game was easy to get into. The game loop is very enjoyable, and you nailed the theme about trusting no "1". Excellent job!
Edit: I do hope you get to 20 ratings before the rating period. It would be a shame if all your hard work didn't count. This was easily one of the top jam games I've played!
Incredible game! The audio and visuals especially take center stage, but the game loop was very enjoyable and unique. And you made it WAN multiplayer??? (Though I didn't get to test this feature out). The incorporation of the theme was really well done as well; I don't really have any critiques on this game. Excellent entry!
This was quite delightful! From the office emails to the annoying co-workers, and throwing in the fakes really nailed the theme on the head. I laughed at the work work work work tab (we've all done that!) The email to HR typed out every time (why couldn't he just copy/paste lol) and the nosy coworker snooping by and having to hide your tab - was all very well done. I thought the chiptune bgm didn't match the more modern sfx, but that was probably my personal taste. Also noticed a bug where if you press and hold the mouse button, it fires the sound continuously instead of once. Other than that, this was a very nice game and perfect for the jam!
Nice tower defense game! I think what was missing to make this really great was some juice: sound effects, animations, projectiles - something to make the attacks, deaths more readable. The tutorial was nice, but having it spaced out throughout gameplay would help understanding stick better versus unloading all at once. Also HUD would cover some of the battle action so I couldn't see who beat who. But it's a good entry, especially for your second jam and solo dev'ing!
Short and sweet. As jam games should be :) The game loop was simple but I really had to remember the rules from the intro and apply them to each encounter, so for that you did a job well done on tackling the theme. The story and lore was well done. The art and animation was nice, would have liked more sfx (UI clicks, etc for better feedback), but overall, nice entry!
Very polished game! It had a very Stardew Valley vibe with the gathering of items. The loop was simple, as I see it: gather items, slay monsters, sell items, buy $2,000 ticket - it was very cozy, and enjoyable. The world map was charming and sized perfectly for the jam. I wanted to go into the houses in the town, but understand it's probably just decoration due to the timing and scope. Loved the art direction! Overall, very nice entry!
It's a cool concept, especially for a game you made in a day. I wanted more gameplay, but from what you presented, I actually did see the trust no one theme. There was also some good social commentary messaging in the game; I felt maybe the message might've been a bit autobiographical? Either way, it was thought provoking, and the mood you created was a little unsettling. Good job!
