How does the game fit the theme?
You can't trust Anyone on this town...
Not even yourself
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
I use some external Unity Packages, mostly Yarn Spinner.
Art and Sound came from creative common sources, edited for the game.

I would've liked it if the map's texture matched the art style, but otherwise it's a very interesting concept. Good job devs
Marthakaz in the comments below pretty much summed up my experience. Loved the art and some of the ideas, albeit not clear where those ideas were headed: leaving the crime unsolved is a fun twist on the genre if it doesn't just end the game; stabbing people freely is a beautiful player agency, but the inverted controls (as in by default I want to talk not stabby stab) do make it a little too easy to do so. Talk like a normal person vs talk in shakespearean english would be a fun button to have in a game.
If I had a nickel for every time I accidentally got an ending in a game at this jam by leaving the map without knowing it was an exit and the end of the game, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice in one jam! Overall, I think I managed to get four endings and I have no idea what the fifth ending could be. Art is awesome, I liked the walking animation the most. Great dialogue, but the font could be a bit more readable, combined with that fancy English, it's a bit hard to read smoothly. All in all, I really like the game and I would've gladly chatted with the characters a bit more, and it'd be cool if the mystery required coming back to them later and connecting the clues more, but it's still fun as is. Nice work! ♥
Love the artwork and dialogue!
The art is so wonderful! Dialogue is funny and enjoyable I found 3 endings (started with Sinner obviously cause I wanted to see if I can slice someone or not xD)
XDDD I accidentally found two endings while trying to enquire: I killed Salutorio by accident, and walked to the station to write "suicide". I would have preferred to know this last one had ending consequences because it forced me to restart and re-read all the dialogues.
That being said, I absolutely love your game. The visuals are stunningly good and fun, the music is well chosen, the voices are fun and fit the plot and gameplay. Your UI fits so well with the theme. The lore is just great, I love the way you built your characters (visually and story-telling and voices). Mhrfs ! was very fun to play with <3 But I identify more with Stubbornoz é_è
Like others said below, I didn't find a way to the white-hat character. I see there's a stair behind the scene but I couldn't find a way to reach it. Did I miss something ?
(Also, I get French vibes from your game - am I right ?)
I'm happy you like it.
About the French vibes... The original illustration are French, but my sister and I are from Spain, so there is a bit of a mix there.
We're neighbours then ^^
I also thought the characters' names sounded French / near French sometimes.
Again, this is a really good game - one of my favourites so far
Loved the visuals and dialogue. Great mystery too. I think i only found 4 endings and couldn't find a way to that all white character at the top but amazing game!
I loved the sprite art, game really made me think. Writing was great, I enjoyed it alot. Good stuff!
Not bad, the art style was really good and I like the environment you can move around. Each character was very unique but even after listening to all of them, I still only had a vague idea who it could've been. Nice work
Fun dialogue and the Visuals were great too. Found 4 of the 5 endings, and not sure how to get the 5th. Wondering if it has to do with going over to the white bird in the edge? Maybe it's just me, but I feel like I had to trial and error my way to finding the culprit that deducing their identity? ( english not my main language :'( )
The game has a solution, but it ended up more cryptic than intended.
If you want a clue: the solution isn't in who are they accusing, but How are they accusing.
Can you spoil the 5th ending for me!! I got killing the culprit, killing someone and getting caught, killing someone and running away and killing all.
SPOILER:
Leaving town without solving the murder nor killing anyone.
lmao, i forgot I got that one too. Was the very first one and accidental too.
Tenéis una estética muy chula. Me he encontrado 4 de los 5 finales. No sé si el que me queda es matar a todos los diablillos o si tiene que ver con la otra mitad del terreno y el personaje que hay en lo alto.
This is a fun game, the dialogue was so funny and random feeling and I like how different it made all the characters feel.
great game , really weird artstyle and i liked it a lot probably the best thing nice dialogue and character
Thanks.
Really liked the visual style and the wonderfully silly dialogue! I found three of the five endings so far. I wonder if I can reach that person on the cliff somehow...
Thanks. You aren't the first one that finds 3 endings first and then has difficulty looking for the rest.
Very funny game. The visuals are very very cool, how did you make them ? Elegant and clever game, a real good jam game !
Thanks.
My sister did the character art. She used old black and white illustrations and colorized them using wallpaper textures.
It's simple. Peaceful, weirly enough. It surprised me in a few places. The plot is simple to understand and get into and the characters have nice diversity.
To add to the game I would make more stuff happen. These characters have a certain "I don't really care" vibe to them currently, which I think is cool. You could play into this while adding more dynamicism to the game by going for example one of the characters carelessly burying the or something. It could also go in a completely different direction, that's fine
I'm glad you like it.
I will take your suggestions into consideration if I ever do a "Post-Jam" version because if true that the game is a bit "static" as it is.
