So cool!!

You cannot even trust..... yourself!

I took me a while to understand it then it hit! I think you can use the mechanic of copying poses more and even apply some scary clones that chase you when you don't look. Reminded me of Moon.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for recommendations! Moon definitely was on my mind when I made this. Jim is rocking Sam Rockwell (not really). :)

Really fun little experience. Didn't understand what I had to do  before I realized that the button can be pressed multiple times. Then I knew exactly what to do (press it with a macro 1000 times in a second).

Developer

macro is obviously the lore appropriate solution. Thanks for playing!

The electric puzzle was really cool! It took me a second until I looked at your hint and spamming the switch until the door opened was really cool! For me, it would've been helpful if whenever you pointed at something, it was outlined in white, just like it was for the dead body. That would've made it more helpful to see what I could've selected. I can't believe you did everything yourself, especially the 3D models! Those must've taken a really long time - I'm just learning how to do Blender and they take up a lot of work! Great job submitting it on time too - I know it was hard getting everything in with 21 minutes left lol, but I'm glad you did it! Good luck with the rest of your jam and I hope you had a great time!

Developer(+1)

Great feedback! Blendering takes 0 time when you are having fun hehe. Thank you so much for taking the time to play through my little monstrosity.

I had fun playing this short game. I did find the pointing mechanic a bit confusing so I did spread the blame around a bit before finally managing to point where I intended.

Play-through with more feedback:

Developer

Thanks, man! Your playthrough on camera is super helpful. Didn't know about the French keyboard (albeit not surprised hehe), thanks for the explainer. Pointing to be improved! You had the solution on first try and the game scammed you :( Thank you so much for playing and commentary.

This was really interesting. Short but sweet. There is a certain level of immersion that you get from standing in the same room as the other suspects and getting to point fingers at other characters. Nice work!

Submitted(+1)

Oh wow, such a wonderful idea. I have to admit, the last puzzle was a bit too difficult for me because I couldn’t get the collider to register. But the ending was beautiful. And a high five for making the game relatively quick to get through 🙌

Developer

Thanks for the playthrough and feedback!

Submitted(+1)

The puzzle is kind of cool. I just think the controls are in the way, I was sure what to do but because of a missing crosshair I aimed not exactly on the target and thought I must do something else.

I like the visuals, gives a really uncanny feeling. I just think the laugh and comedy sounds are not very fitting.

Great work thou!

Developer

Thanks for playing and the feedback!

it didn't take 3 but 15 minutes to get what to do :)

It was like a series of mini-puzzles that involved guessing what had gone through the creator's mind. Great fun, eventually. That's what I love about game jams: you unearth small, quirky, and surprising games here and there.

Developer

Trust no one. Especially developers with their playtimes bwahaha. Thanks for playing!

It was such a creative and fun idea! The emotes and hand gestures were really cool, and the character is super cute. I really loved the mirrors too. The game was really fun to play. Great job!☺️👍

Developer

Thanks for playing and sharing the feedback <3

Beat it! Great simple escape room. Selecting the murder weapon is a bit tricky to target.

Developer

Thanks for playing and feedback. Noted on the weapon!

Submitted(+1)

The voices are so funny, everything felt like a fever dream! when he woke up and started pointing at me with the voices I completely lost it. Good job.

Did someone say "DREAMS?"  - Jim Lynch sends his signed postcard
Submitted(+1)

That's quite possibly the best thing I've ever seen. Thank you, Jim 1.

Submitted(+1)

I had trouble pointing at the ‘murder’ weapon. Other than that it was a great short experience!

Developer

Appreciate the feedback! Thanks for playing.

Submitted(+1)

Cool game, it was fun to play! All Jims look awesome :D

Submitted(+1)

That is a very creative game! Took me a moment to figure out what to do, but I had fun playing it!

As for the critique - issues are mostly technical. Game is laggy on start and there are default pink texture placeholder in UI elements having sub viewports as a texture.

Submitted(+1)

Regarding the performance issue on start, they are most probably caused by the shader compilation in web. The common workaround for this in Godot is to prewarm materials and particle system by spawning them for a sec one by one in an empty scene under the loading screen. This way shaders will be compiled and those lags will happen while the player is seeing the loading screen not during the gameplay itself.

Developer(+1)

Weirdly enough I do have that locally since day 1, but my build does not. Thanks for pointing it out with specific feedback on how to deal with it. Appreciated.

My favorite character was Jim. I also really liked Jim. Jim was also not bad.

Overall, I rate it a Jim/10.

P.S. I enjoyed the behind the scenes video

This is insane.

i'm a big goofy audio guy and enjoyed this greatly. very silly and loved our main guy. i wished there was a little more after the final guess (a cutscene? dialogue? more emoting?)

Developer

See my youtube video where I show the unfinished stuff! Thanks for playing, I had fun making it.

Man this is soooooo fire :)

Really enjoyed the short format and the puzzles were kind of clever haha

Tho the audio was lil too goofy.

In general - well done!

Developer

Goofy audio is all I can get away with. Thanks for playing!
