Everything was made during the week of the jam besides a plugin for dialogue which was heavily modified

The art is so gorgeous it would do the game injustice to give it anything other than 5 stars for visuals. I also like how you did the dialogue tree as it reminds me of Disco Elysium. The audio in the game is also really well done and I really like how each character has a different audio for when they speak making it distinct to one another. The music really adds to the "detective" vibe the game gives off making me want to investigate and get to the bottom of it. I also liked that the more you got into the story the main room began to get more filled up making the game feel more lively. The game is very well polished given the amount of time you'd think this was done in more than a week. Phenomenal job to you guys the game is amazing I loved it!
I really like RP so i was immersed in this from the jump - love the premise and the characters! May have definitely wanted to strangle a couple of them. Loved the detective aspect of it as well - angering the suspects so that they could leave the room and you could rifle through their stuff was a fun choice.
Similar complaints as the ones below - i really wanted to see the right ending(and all the wrong accusations as well) but my brain no good and the game sent me back to the start after i failed :(
Otherwise amazing work! So polished too I do really like the white and red as visual cues for where to look next
i have no notes for this, amazing story i really loved this. - Kitsoupy
After our artists high praise for this game I decided to take a look as well, and WOW this game is good just from a glance. The dialogue starts off so strong setting the tone of the story, something I appreciate in particular, definitely gonna replay this on my own pace - Alette
Amazing that you were able to create this within such limited time! The visuals and audio are fantastic, and I really enjoyed the story. Well done!
Love the style of the game, and this is probably the most fully realized murder mystery I've seen in this jam. I'm always a big fan of the Disco Elysium style of dialogue trees, and the investigation itself was pretty fun as well (made better by the beautiful artwork). Really impressive, especially given that it was made in just a week.
The beginning seemed a bit drawn out to me, but overall the concept is interesting, as is the art style. Great job!
I'm so STUNNED by this game, it's incredible you managed to make all of this in just one week! I really love the aesthetic of the game, it fits amazingly the theme and it's really well done (can tell you put a lot of effort in it); I liked the writing a lot too, I found it enough straightforward but still enigmatic, so perfect for this kind of games. A really big good job and good luck for the future, I think with more than 1 week of work this can become an incredible finished game <3
Great game with a nice artstyle, fitting music, cool gameplay & deduction techniques. I wasn't really sure how to progress after reaching the code sections (I couldn't find the answers of figure them out myself) to get into the laptop or safe, so I randomly guessed & got the bad ending. Apart from that (the answer might've been obvious & I missed it), very cool!❤️
Enjoyed it overall, thought the characters were well written but got stumped on how to open the safe, which seemed like the only way forward after talking to everyone, looking at everyone's suspicious item, and getting into the gun safe. I wish the note book had been tutorialized slightly as i didn't think to take notes until i eventually clicked on it and saw that was something i could do. Also, unsure how to progress i accidentally ended the game when accusing Robert of blackmail, because i guess i thought the accusing of something not explicitly related to the inheritance would open up a new dialouge tree or something. In hindsight the tab is literally marked 'Conclude' but all the different options of how to combine the info and people made me think it would give me more content instead of instantly ending the game, Also call me a casual, but, at least in the context of a jam, i wished i coulda gone back and brute forced or tried to find more without having to restart the whole game. The artwork and style was nice as well, and I played for about an hour.
Thank you for playing and the feedback! We'll definitely fix A LOT of stuff in our post-jam update! Stay Tuned!
I love point and click games and this was non-the-less one that I really enjoed playing, from start to finish. The atmosphere is really good and the art is amazing.
Though we're here to get feedback, here's mine:
Some text that appeared when interacting with objects was cut and had to manually scroll to see it all; also about text, really not that deep is the fact that I could continue on only one line of the note book without starting a new line. Now the important stuff, I think there might have been a bug or at least me not being able to solve the puzzle of the book in the bookshelf even though the tubes connected the 2 red parts correctly; so I might have missed in-game hints about how to chiper the safe, that said I can't say for sure if that puzzle was possible or not without a hint. Other than that, awesome game, I played it about 1:30 hours :D
Thank you for playing! Yeah some of these things we've already clocked in and will solve in an update. About the wires, all the wires need to be connected in order to solve the puzzle not just the red part, in hindsight we should have explained this better. Any ways thankyou for all the feedback! :D
[SPOILER ALERT] Wow I thought a caesar cipher was way too niche. That said it was satisfying to crack. The hint besides the lock is worded a bit differently than in the safe though. I think "the length of [crandock]" is a lot more useful than "number".
So much great artwork. Very impressive!
great overall experience.
that save puzzle tho, beats me^^
Really love the visuals, nice job on the theming as well!
I feel like I've just played the winning submission?! Really really good job everyone, I just recently played Type Help and The Red Pearls of Borneo, and I genuinely think this stacks up against them, and you made this in a WEEK!
Sensational work everyone!
Love to see another disco-like game! Crazy polished for having been made in a week.
I really like the UI and art, the music was quite atmospheric. The dialogue UI reminds me of Disco Elysium... I would have liked a way to progress the text with spacebar or something like that.. You have added a lot of dialogue and content into this. very well done! who was the anonymous inheritor... it is a mystery...
This is quite a nice suspenseful murder mystery game, quite love the art and the writing! Great game
Really cool mystery game! Love the visuals and writing.
a Masterpiece
