How does the game fit the theme?
Your travels are cut short by a crumbled bridge. To move on, you must gather resources for the people in nearby town of Evant so that they can rebuild your passage.
Collect resources, fight goblins, trade with dishonest merchants, upgrade your character and talk with the townsfolk as you explore this uncaring place!
The question is: can you trust anyone in this gods forsaken town?
Feel free to leave any feedback you have, it is very appreciated.

Love the concept and the detailed art, it was somehow still easy to tell what was interactable and what wasn't in the forest! Great job on that! I was a little confused on what to do with the fake coin system, I think it would be really cool if there was a way to sort of call out the dishonest merchants, or to upgrade your stats so they're less likely to give you fake ones. Love the detail you put into this game though! Great job!
Thank you for the feedback!
I was planning on making fake coins a separate currency with which you could try to scam the merchants with a certain probability of success and buyable upgraades to that ability but deadline was faster haha
I'm still working on the trading system, might update it after the game jam:)
I think that would be a super cool mechanic to add! Please do I'd play it!
Your game plays out well and looks really good! :)
Thank you for playing my game, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
The pixel art is great! Also UI was really clean intuitive. I would have liked for the different vendors to better place to sell X item. I was trying for a bit but it seemed it did not matter where you sold things. But very nice game and I don’t have anything else to suggest at the moment.
Thank you for the comment!
Pixel art comes mostly from awesome packs by Hypnobius and Zerie.
As for the vendors I was planning to make the trading system more elaborate with the ability to even scam the merchants back, unfortunately I was caught by the deadline:P
It came together nicely. I would've liked to see an option to speed up text, I think. I don't know if it was intentional or not, but it seemed like in combat, you could swing one way but if your pointer was elsewhere, it'd hit there. Which did make combat easier, just not sure if I was exploiting something there, lol.
Thank you for your feedback!
The combat system was intended to be simple because I wanted to focus on trading system (in the end didn't even have time for that haha)
As for the dialogue that is a good point, I'll definitely include it thank you!
It was fun! Never thought I'd enjoy get scammed!
Thank you for playing my game!
It's a really fun game, with a simple but enjoyable story and gameplay. I enjoyed walking around and collecting items, even if I got scammed ♥ However, I noticed one bug, when you collect an item and click very quickly to pick it up, you can simply collect 99 of that item in one place. Overall, it's a very nice, coherent project, it was fun to play, good job ♥
I wasn't aware of this bug, thank you so much for letting me know!
I really enjoyed the game! I especially liked the way the game world and overall environment were designed, as well as the battles and combo system. I also really liked how selling resources was handled. Overall, a really fun game!
Thank you so much for playing, I'm glad you liked it!
The dishonest merchant thing was pretty funny and fits the Trust No One theme super well haha. I liked that you mixed resource collecting with fighting goblins and talking to the townsfolk, it made Evant feel bigger than I expected for a jam game. The delayed enemy hit feedback felt a little odd at times, but this was still a fun one :)
Thank you for your feedback! I have learned a ton of things during this project since it was the first time I have implemented dialogue and trading system, I am really glad you found it interesting!
Man, they really tricked me. So far, this is the biggest scam I've ever seen. Great job.
Thank you! Never trust a man from Evant haha
Really loved the art and the character combo is cool, especially the multi hit at the end :)
My only wish is that I could kill these pesky merchants that keep scamming me and giving me fake coins 😭
Good job on making such a large map and that many mechanics in such a short time :D
Thank you for playing! I was planning on making this scamming mechanic more elaborate with a minigame and ability to scam them back but had to cut back because of the lack of time
nice game the artstyle is great the character though is weird with not up or down it felt weird and when the enemies take dmg its delayed from the actual animations , anyways the game is great
Thank you for letting me know, it definitely requires some more tweaking:P
Rare to see an RPG for a game jam! Amazing work on this. I really enjoyed the animations for the character but felt it was a bit out of place with the tileset.
Thank you for the comment! Good point with the tileset - I started with it and decided on the character pack later but they use different resolutions:P Glad you enjoyed it!
