How does the game fit the theme?
The game revolves around figuring out who to trust in a town divided by its beliefs about the ritual. Building trust unlocks more conversations, while limited time and actions determine how much the player can learn before the ritual takes place
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
We did use the Godot Extension Dialogic, everything else is made from scratch. Oh and the bgm is just some copyright free song.

Beautiful visuals. One annoying bug was that I was using spacebar to advance audio, then once a conversation had finished spacebar turned into skip day!
Glad you liked it and thank you for pointing that out! We will definitely fix that! :))
The artwork is absolutely stunning—easily one of the most beautiful I’ve come across so far. The story is fantastic, and there’s so much room to build on this world.
thank you very much! :)
The art is sooo charming! The story was quite intriguing even if it was short (which is expected for a gamejam). I liked the idea of the narrator talking the main character, and I did not expected the twist at all X).
If I could give some feedback, it would be on the actual gameplay and how it is linked to the narrative. The choice felt a bit limited which made the progression of the game quite linear.
A great entry overall. Congrats on your submission!!!
Thank youuu glad you liked it! :))
And I really appreciate the feedback we will definitely work on that!
hi this was so beautiful (LOVE the sprites) and the dialogue was pretty funny! echoing other commenters, it might have been nice for there to be more choices; i felt like i couldn't make many decisions that decreased the trust. if you expand this, would love to play!
Thank you so much for playing!
Yeah and I totally agree, that would add much more depth to the game. Thank you for the feedback! :) <3
Nice quick little story game :]. Loved the art and the story! I had my suspicions about who Linus was and I was close, but not quite on the nose!
Hahah thank you so much! :))
Cool game! Love the character design. Great work!
thank you so much!! <3
Great game and cool twist! I knew something was up, but I didn't predict that. Hope you get a chance to do more game jams in the future!
Thank you, very glad you liked it! <3
Congratulations on taking part in your first jam! The charadesigns are superb.
As a big fan of interactive fictions and narrative games, I would have liked there to be more choices with real consequences during the visual novel, to really feel like I was the protagonist. Nevertheless, the story has a beginning, a middle and an end: this is a start of a good game!! :)
Also, for a future jam, if you can find the time, do feel free to add some royalty-free background music :) It really helps with immersion.
Thank you so much! Great feedback, we will definitely do that! :))
Narrative games aren't really my thing, but I like this one. It ended kind of weirdly because we just talked to Maria and that was it. It felt like something was missing, but otherwise it's a good narrative. Loved the art style of this game. Good job!
Thank you so much! I totally agree, the build up was supposed to be much longer but we didnt have enough time haha.
Congrats on the first game jam! Cool narrative with great art!
Love it when the Narrator plays a role in visual novels.
thank youuu!! <3
The narrator cracked me up a couple of times. Loved the art! It's a good effort on the time crunch you had.
Thank you so much, glad you liked the narrator! :))
the visual style is awesome
thank you so much! :))
Beautiful art! Congrats on your first game jam, you did great :) I love an evil narrator.
thanks a bunch!
This was really great and thought through. Would make a fantastic Prototype for a Visual novel id love to play for hours!
Thank youuu!! :))
Nice game! The portraits are very well drawn, and the story is interesting, though it feels a bit rushed at some points. But that's understandable for a game jam. Really nice work!
Thank you so much! Yeah originally it was supposed to be 7 days instead of 3 but time went by so fast haha.
The narrator reminds me of Slay the Princess, which is one of my favorite games ever!
Also loved the characters, designs and overall narrative of the game, well done!
thank you! :))
Congratulations on your first jam game. Everyone who submitted, ESPECIALLY first timers should be proud they finished something. It's an important step, but you submitted something beautiful. You have amazing art and story, something that not anyone can replicate. It's a rough market for visual novel style games but you did well, especially for your first time.
Thank you so much! It means the world to us :))
Nice little game, the narration peaked my interest and the art is absolutely stunning !
Didn't see the ending coming haha x)
I would love to see more if you plan on reworking on the game to make the ending more complete
thank you!! :) we'll definitely expand the story a bit and polish everything, thank you so much for your interest <3
Character designs are great, i love the art some people are talking about how the pastor mocks the player actions and i think that's actually weird because it fits his personality as a character well and made me like the game more, congrats to both you and your girlfriend on your first jam, it was a cool little game
Thank you so much! <3
Congratulations on your first jam. Achievement unlocked! :D
Wow, I love the character portraits! Really nice style.
Some minor suggestions to improve the game:
The grand sacrifice for our lord an saviour <== and
"pff, you still had energy to talk to people. How foolish" <== Please avoid evaluating the choices of the player like this. It's disrespectful.
The transition after the escape could be a black screen with a text. As it is currently it can easily be missed.
If you are interested in dialog mechanics please check out my game(s) - I'm innovating in this space.
Good luck!
Thank you very much for the feeback! We wanted to give the narrator certain traits, so the player notices that he might have his own agenda. We will definetly check our your games as well! :)
