Thank you so much for the in-depth review! I'll note these changes to include in future versions of the game, especially the panning and picking up objects while on top-down view!

My game is Dark Succession, a sandbox investigation game about figuring out who killed a mafia boss!

Pico-8 was a bold pick, and it paid off! The pixel art and the sound set the mood really well, especially for something you made alone. Congrats! Also happy to see that you will keep working on the game!

The art is honestly the first thing that grabbed me, the character designs are gorgeous and the whole thing feels remarkably polished for a jam entry.

The conviction battles are really cool. Remembers me of Undertale's bullet-hell with Ace Attorney. My main piece of feedback is on pacing: the battle sections come and go really fast, would love if they lasted a bit longer, but not sure about it.

Excellent work to the whole team!

Loved it!

The game is really fun, loved it!

First off, the game is super cute, I loved the animations, the character design is fantastic, the camera work is great, and the whole thing ran smoothly and felt very polished.

My main hesitation is the gameplay loop. Running around summoning people gets pretty repetitive after a few waves. Some concrete suggestions, thought: some way to select multiple characters at once would go a long way, and more enemy variation!

Checking it now!

I really liked the idea, but a few things stood out to me. The first is that the game takes quite a while to start getting interesting,  for me it took around 30 weeks, and once the murders started happening, I wasn't sure I was playing the game the right way.

You did a great job on the simulation and the visuals, I thought they were really nice, and it's impressive that you made this on your own. I reached one of the endings and I thought it was great!

I also think you should invest more time in your game page, it's what's going to draw people into your game, so don't hide this gem from them!

Checking it!

Loved it! Really fun!

I found the game really fun, it reminds me of Don't Push the Button, a puzzle game I love. Personally, I found the game quite difficult as it stands, and I'm not sure I would have made it without the first hint, but after that it flowed pretty well! It's definitely one of the most creative uses of the theme! Congrats!

Reviewed it, really fun game! Will sure be keeping an eye out for updates!

I'll admit I got a bit of a fright when the plants started coming after me, and I thought it was really interesting. It's a very cool mechanic, growing your own enemies and building your own waves that way.

I'd love to see you take the idea of different enemies further, each with their own characteristics, and also improve the overall feel of the combat. One thing that would help tremendously is some kind of hit indication, like the character flashing white. I also missed having a few sound effects to reinforce the combat side of things.

Overall, I think the game has potential! You should definitely keep working on it!

Had a busy night, but now I'll start going thought the list!

You got it right! Thought the call was confirmation enough, but for sure in a future version I will spice up the ending, and thanks a lot for playing!

Will check it out when I'm home, can't play windows games here!

Thanks! Means a lot to us, also loved your game

Thanks a lot! It was really fun do develop and also loving to see you guys thoughts! It was also my first time designing a murder mystery, so sorry for any mistakes!

Drop the game here in the comments and don't forget to check out mine!

The art is quite good, and I loved the fact he is shooting slippers, but I would lower the volume of the shots a bit. Got to 122!

Impressive for first jam, it's simple but fun, just agree with the previous comment on the user experience part.

INSANE. Amazing graphics and the game feel is out of this world, well done! Even more impressive the fact you did it all by yourself!

Really cool quiz, I really liked the characters, also the ambience is top notch.

This is game is so goofy I love it. Great use of the theme, impressive!

The movement is so smooth it should be illegal, I liked how you used the theme too, well done!

Such a fun experience, reminds me of old flash games!
