Thank you so much for the in-depth review! I'll note these changes to include in future versions of the game, especially the panning and picking up objects while on top-down view!

The art is honestly the first thing that grabbed me, the character designs are gorgeous and the whole thing feels remarkably polished for a jam entry.
The conviction battles are really cool. Remembers me of Undertale's bullet-hell with Ace Attorney. My main piece of feedback is on pacing: the battle sections come and go really fast, would love if they lasted a bit longer, but not sure about it.
Excellent work to the whole team!
First off, the game is super cute, I loved the animations, the character design is fantastic, the camera work is great, and the whole thing ran smoothly and felt very polished.
My main hesitation is the gameplay loop. Running around summoning people gets pretty repetitive after a few waves. Some concrete suggestions, thought: some way to select multiple characters at once would go a long way, and more enemy variation!
I really liked the idea, but a few things stood out to me. The first is that the game takes quite a while to start getting interesting, for me it took around 30 weeks, and once the murders started happening, I wasn't sure I was playing the game the right way.
You did a great job on the simulation and the visuals, I thought they were really nice, and it's impressive that you made this on your own. I reached one of the endings and I thought it was great!
I also think you should invest more time in your game page, it's what's going to draw people into your game, so don't hide this gem from them!
I found the game really fun, it reminds me of Don't Push the Button, a puzzle game I love. Personally, I found the game quite difficult as it stands, and I'm not sure I would have made it without the first hint, but after that it flowed pretty well! It's definitely one of the most creative uses of the theme! Congrats!
I'll admit I got a bit of a fright when the plants started coming after me, and I thought it was really interesting. It's a very cool mechanic, growing your own enemies and building your own waves that way.
I'd love to see you take the idea of different enemies further, each with their own characteristics, and also improve the overall feel of the combat. One thing that would help tremendously is some kind of hit indication, like the character flashing white. I also missed having a few sound effects to reinforce the combat side of things.
Overall, I think the game has potential! You should definitely keep working on it!
