Cool concept. Congrats!

My character got stuck when level 2 loaded, had to restart.

Sometimes i would destroy 2 objects instead of only the mimic.

A beautiful game—great work! The only thing is the size of the Itch page needs to be adjusted.

i really enjoyed looking for objects that are out of place. i also like the foreshadowing of one of the characters before they reveal themself to be a mimic - the story is amazing and one of a kind!

The game idea is unique, and I really liked the unexpected twist at the end, however, since it doesn't impact the playthrough, the 'to be continued' ending leaves the experience feeling a bit incomplete. The UI could also use a little polish, but it's nothing major. All in all, it's a good game, and the effort put into it really shines through

Congrats on the game, you have a nice concept!

A couple of things worth noting:

  • You should increase the size of the viewport on the itch project page, so people can play without going fullscreen, it’s a small thing, but appreciated.
  • Gameplay wise, the gun is a bit finicky, it often destroys two or more items at once, mimics or not.
  • Also, a mimic counter may be something worth considering, so the player has some idea of how many objects they still need to destroy. And since it’s not immediately clear how to spot every mimic, it helps the player in the learning process.
